I used to play this game on my Apple IIe, back in the day. And loved it! This version doesn't have the same audio clips, or perhaps it is a limitation of the Gameboy's audio capabilities. However, the audio effects are not nearly as scandalous as they were on the Apple. The gameplay seems about the same, except that it feels more claustrophobic. Probably due to the GB screen constraints, versus a monitor. It is a fun diversion for anyone who enjoys retro shooter gaming. Recommended. By the by, I think Crystal Quest grew up to be Geometry Wars: Galaxies for the Nintendo DS!
