Sometimes you just feel the need to beat something up. I bought a Playstation 2 not because I like their huge gaming selection or am impressed by the graphics, no, I actually hate PS2, but, when I felt the need for some old school street fighting, PS2 was the way to go. Combine that with the awesome street fighter anniversary controllers, and you've got yourself a street fighter machine! Capcom Fighting Evolution is one of my favorite games in my new street fighter collection. It has lots of characters from lots of capcom games, has some cool options, and all around is a neat game to play. It's not an A+ title, that's why it's budget priced, but, for people like me, games like this are a gem! The only real downsides is maybe not enough characters, not enough levels, but, that's the same complaint I have about all street fighter games! If you like street fighter, this is a cool game to pickup. It's not the best in the series, no, but, for the price it's well worth it!Read full review
If you want to fight... Pick up the sticks and fight... if you want a classic Ryu versus Ken battle... this game is not for you... I see what they were trying to do here... in only incorporating a certain number of characters into the game from each different series they have in a sense created a new game... The Girl Ingrid makes a great addition to the cast... I just like the fact that i am beating seasoned Ryu Vets with a Sub-Teenager... I see this game as a challenge when playing aginst friends... WHy not beat his powerhouse team of Ryu and Guile, With a lil girl and a Sword Wielding Lion... LOL... IT si fun to enjoy if you can look past the Fact the Ken is not there... and that some of the fighters have a distinc advantage over others...
I love the classic Street Fighter games. This one is good, not great. It doesn't compare to say Xmen Vs Street Fighter, Marvel Vs Capcom and such. It's just good. I paid $3.80 plus $4.75 shipping. So I paid $8 and some change. It lacks options. All it has is a training mode and arcade mode. A survival mode, or some other game modes would have definitely made it greater. Definitely worth $8 to add to your Capcom fighting library. I wouldn't pay over $20 though. Good, not a great game.
Not the greatest Capcom fighting game, but one that I wanted to add to my collection. The number of copies for this game is very small compared to other Capcom releases. This makes finding a copy, new or used, quite difficult. Next is finding a copy at a sensible price.
