Great hood for home. Comparing to the digital elote I jave at work this is not far as far as fit an feel. The shade is instant. Works great and a great price for a brand as miller.

This is a very generic welding helmet. It may be a little under half the cost of a good helmet but if I dd not really need one right now I would of bought a better one with a wider lens. My really good welding helmet after four years of use started to mess up it was a titanium series which I do recommend if you can afford it.

I use a Miller 452 with a Series 70 wire feeder. This unit works as advertised to instantly go to the darkness setting ( variable) you select. Once the weld cools enough, it goes back to clear. Simple as that. Comes with the battery installed. Extra outer shield included in the event you brake it or get weld splatter on it. Good instruction manual as well. Lightweight.

For cost,(very affordable) I gave this hood a 5 rating the head gear probably won't last very long but I believe I can up grade. I'm not easy on hoods and to spend 300+ on another hood that will be trashed with a year, not doing it anymore.

Was unable to adjust shade on my cheap auto darkening helmets and I sometimes got flashed. The shade adjustment on this model makes all the difference in welding and the auto-darkening time is incredibly fast. I'd recommend.
