I use these strings with a Taylor 310ce dreadnought. These strings are a great match for this guitar; they are full sounding, and have a great 'playability'. I perform a lot of classic rock, both original and cover, and these are great for both rhythm and lead, handling a lot of string bending and scale runs on lead, and different tunings and heavy 'chunking' on rhythm. They also seem to last longer than other strings. I initially bought these on recommendation of a music store owner, and discovered the great fit they are for my 310ce. Worth trying a set. I'd been playing Martin Phosphor Bronze mediums since 1989. Tried literally every string brand available (taught lessons for a store, and they'd let us take any set of strings we wanted- I guess they didn't want teachers having dead strings or taking up students' lesson time changing a broken string). Saw an article on day in my buddy's Guitar Player Magazine, with Trey Anastasio (never was a phan), and he was touting DR electric strings. Said after he switched he hadn't broken one (his style doesn't really lend itself to string breakage), and there was a full page article promoting DR strings (complimentary copy?). Decided to take a chance and send away for a couple sets (before internet), and they were a little pricey with the shipping (about $6 a set). Loved them, never looked back! When I saw that DR had acoustic strings I went for it. After I strung this set, I realized they didn't need any break in period to sound good, and they felt lighter. Actually was able to get 2+ step bends and electric type licks. Next set I went with 13's, which felt comparable to my old Martin PB 12's. Highly recommended!!Read full review

I bought these strings because I had put new strings on my Taylor mini that I hated the sound of. I put these on and I love them. The sound is great all across the spectrum. Good highs, mids and lows - and that is important to me on my mini. I want as much low as possible because it is a smaller guitar. I love my guitar and I love the way these strings make it sound..... plugged and unplugged. I will be buying more of them for sure.

I'd been using DR electric and bass strings since the early 90's, but still using Martin Phosphor Bronze acoustic strings. Always thought if DR comes out with acoustic strings I'd give them a shot. They don't seem to have the break in period that Martins have. Lower tension (I was able to go a gauge heavier and still have the same feel) and seem to last at least as long as the Martins.
