Wow! This was the best book I've read in a while. Hilary is a very bitter and angry girl. She has let hate rule her heart but God shows her the way to love. This story may be fiction but how Hilary tells her feelings and what she sees are taken from real stories by the author. She not only puts a lot of emotion in this story but you can actually relate to her while you read and imagine yourself as Chana the girl she becomes while she's in a comma. She (Hilary) lives Chana's life as a Jewish girl in Poland. Hilary sees everything and hears everything and actually is Chana during the war and lives her life. Hilary begins to see all humans are valuable or have a right to live unlike herself as Hilary she would have thought Chana would deserve to die just because she's a Jew. Hilary see's the truth in hate and how love is so much easier to do and has a better result in what your life will become. If you want to live a happy life than don't blame others for your faults or be angry at everything in this world and see the world as the problem. Take a good look at yourself. If there is evil people whom hurt you don't hate them have pity on them and forgive. This doesn't mean they should'nt pay for their crimes, by all means they should be in jail but remember they were not born predudice some one had to teach them this and people can have a change of heart if you give them a chance. God loves everyone even evil people, he will forgive them if they ask and all their sins will be washed away. If we hate them like they once hated you, then you are no better than they once were. Listen and learn. Close those lips and hear. Thats all I can say about this book. I am a girl like Chana is not Jewish but celebrate Shabbat and have similar beliefs like her. I just happen to accept Jesus as my savior. I am persecuted by people to for my faith and its not a good feeling but I have so much pity on them. If they only knew how much I see them as weak humans they would hate me for it. I pray for them and hope for the best outcome of my prayers. That is all I can do besides love them. I pray they will say (I was once blind but now I see). God bless us all, not just america the world. If we live in hate than the holocaust will happen again. Take heed.Read full review
