I was shopping for a replacement for my Leupold 20-45x60 spotting scope that was stolen. After reading many, many reviews I ordered the Vanguard. It is a little heavy, but I bought it for the range. It is the clearest best scope under 1,000. [from person al experience with many] On the con side I am not in love with the cover, just a pain to use, but it does protect the scope. Buy one of the best without spending $$$$$ you can also use a camera attachment on it. Just plain outstanding

Could not even focus any distances. The eyepiece and the body did not have proper connection. There was a movement at the joint. The scope was made in Myanmar. Perhaps it was Just a case of poor QC.

This is my first scope, and i chose to go with a good mid-range priced scope (within $1000), however, i did a lot of research on scopes and particularly with the top of the line models. Based on all that people have been talking about those top of the line models, and after experiencing this scope for myself, i highly recommend this scope, especially as a first scope to have. The magnification in this is insane, 20-60 with an 82mm objective. From looking out at distant objects in the terrain, to looking at the moon, this is incredible. I especially love the fine tuning dials. The visual is amazingly sharp, with few chromatic distortions at the 20-40 range. It focuses really well even at 60. I've never really gone beyond 30 for my limited use of it till now, but I'm enjoying every bit of it. Combining this scope with my pixel 3A with a phone scope adapter, I've been experiencing nothing but enjoyment while using the scope and taking pictures.Read full review

I don’t think you can get a better spotter for the money, especially considering the rebate for a free Alta Pro tripod. I have only used on a window mount but am extremely happy with clarity and controls as compared to a cheap spotter I have. Unless you’re willing to go up into the next HD/ED range of $800 plus I don’t think you can get comparable glass

Spent my money on a scope and needed a budget friendly spotter which the internet pointed me to this. I am very pleased and while the micro adjust isn't as sensitive as I'd like, it's better than not having one in the first place I can safely say. Images are nice and clear but have yet to really stretch it out past 500. It fills the need until I start stretching the 6.5 out to its full potential.
