I mounted this scope on my Savage Scout in 308. The scope was easy to adjust, the glass was clear, and the illumination worked perfectly. The scope construction looks and feels to be rugged and well build. However, the scope is heavy, perhaps too heavy for use on a scout rifle, especially one without a bi-bod. If you don't mind the weight, this is a great scope for the price.

I had been given a bunch of criticism about UTG scopes; by my friends with their much more expensive scopes. Well today when I was ringing steel consistently at 250 yards on my Ruger Gunsite Scout chambered in .308 there was not a peep out of any of them your could have heard a mouse peeing on cotton when the range went cold. And when the range went hot again, I just kept on hitting that steel. I loved it LOL!!

I've heard of this kind of junk for decades but never saw it, until I bought one of these. The "eye-relief" changes as the magnification ring is turned from lower to higher resulting in the reticle becoming unclear. Your only choice is to set the position of the scope (regarding eye-relief) while set on full-magnification. This dramatically limits the available range of eye relief. Nothing in the Mfr's literature indicates this. Also, while intriguing, the wide range of colors and brightness setting quickly becomes a nuisance. This scope is junk!

For a cheaper scope it’s not that bad and that’s coming from someone who really enjoys expensive scopes, personally I like this scope, I use a this on a 91/30 Mosin Nagant and it’s perfect. The only issue I can see is the weight, it’s a pound or so and many don’t think of it but it’s a lot of weight when you hauling it through miles of forest like I do. I’ve been a mild fan of UTG/ Leapers scopes I have two scopes from them, both work perfectly otherwise they do their job well.

This scope is awesome, the clarity of it is excellent. Mounted it on a Mosin Nagant 9130 . Went to the range sighted it with ease. At 200 yards it kept on zero.
