I was looking for an inexpensive range finder that would not hurt the family budget. Because I do black powder muzzleloading where I am required to used non-optical sights, I was looking for a range finder that would work well under 200 yards. This one seem to fit the bill. It if fairly easy to sight the intended target under 200 yards. I would not recommend it for over 300 yard range finding. It is easy to operate. The control button is on top making it ergonomically easy to control. The first push of the button turns the view finder on as you look through the lens and a second push gives you the reading in yards. It automatically turns itself off after a few seconds. Because the reading marks are black outlined, it is harder to read the range in low light.

Yes I bought this range finder and it came in 3 different Bushnell Product Boxes which Bushnell makes Simmons Range Finders This one the 801405, I called Bushnell and they said this Model had not been made in over 3 years. Mine came in with a Simmons Range Finder in a Bushnell box and with a Bushnell Golf carrying soft carrying bag and Bushnell said their remanufactured Simmons Range Finders would have came in a Simmons Package a and a Simmons Black tote bag with Red Simmons name on it . Mine came in a Bushnell box and a Simmons Range finder and a Bushnell soft tote bag with Bushnell Golf on it and Bushnell said they would not send out their remanufactured items the way I got them and said they would return them to where ever I bought them which was ASAVINGS and I called them and they said Bushnell did not know what they were talking about if you bought one I would surely call Bushnell about it . This one is not close at all it will vary from shooting same target 6 yards this company also did not say if used for deer hunting it is only good for about 200 yards it will only range 600 yards on something very reflective I even talked to a service manager and she really did not care at all i read the numbers to Bushnell and if I sent it in to Bushnell they most likely would not warranty it I would print off my listing Ebay said this company asavings would have to back their item . Now I notice if you look at other items for sale and put Simmons range finders in their search bar they have new one's for sale for 119.00 but Bushnell said they quit making them 3 years ago they told me that myself it was a outdated product and it has nothing about on listing a FULL YEAR WARRANTY THATS ODD THEY LISTED FULL YEAR WARRANTY ON THEIR REFURBISHED ONES BUT NOT ON THE NEW ONES ASAVINGS ARE SELLING WOULD YOU AGREE,ALSO FOCUS CAMERA IS THE ONE FULFILLED THIS ORDER FOR ASAVINGS SO SIMPLY GO ON LINE AND OR GO DIRECTLY TO WALMART FOCUS CAMER FULFILLS WALMARTS ORDERS ON THE RANGE FINDER JUST GO TO WAL MART .COM AND PUT SIMMONS RANGE FINDERS AND ENTER THIS 801405 AND LOOK TO RIGHT IT SAYS FUFILLED BY FOCUS CAMERA ONLY DIFFERENCE WALMART IF IT DOES NOT WORK CARRY TO YOUR LOCAL WALMART REFUND NO QUESTION ASL AND WAL MART IS ALOT MORE HONEST FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought this for my 3D archery bow. I wanted one that was easy to use and inexpensive. This fits the bill. It will measure out to 600 yards, which is way farther than I ever shoot my bow. The optics are clear and hte display is easy to read. It is accurate to one yard/meter. If you need more precise measurements, there ar rangefinders that do this, but they are WAY more costly. It runs on a 9V battery- easy to get, but not included. The battery compartment is a bit difficult to close, but screws down, so it is unlikely to come open accidentally. There is a place to attach a wrist strap- also not included. I’d bet just as happy to pay a couple of dollars more and have them include the battery & strap, which is why I gave this 4 starts, rather than 5. But its aa good, modestly pried product.Read full review

First range finder I've ever used, works great. Only con I have is that the 9volt battery is a pain to get in and out cause it's a very tight fit.
