You already know and love these classic movies. This particular Blu Ray collection is clearer and brighter than ever and also includes plenty of extra features. My family previously owned these on an erlier format and growing up on a distant outpost near Rigel 7 left me with plenty of free time and I would frequently watch them. It is great to view them again with improved technologies. These classics should be included in your memory bank.

Wow. Paramount got it right this time! I was worried about buying another series of Star Trek movies (again) but this set is the one to have if you are a Blu-ray fan and/or have a Play Station 3 to play it on. All movies are the original theatrical versions. Digitally remastered; sharp and awesome looking on the big screen. "Wrath of Khan" got special treatment: fully restored with 7.1 Dolby TrueHD. It's like watching shinny glass, crystal clear and bright! Set also features over 2 1/2 hours of all new features with "Star Trek: the Captain's Summit" bonus 7th disc. The DVD's are in nice hard plastic cases hosted in a sturdy box with a plastic slip over. Star Trek fans celebrate our franchise's revival with this classic set of the movies WE grew up with!
What can you say, its Star Trek! You are either a fan or not and that will affect, significantly, how you feel about these movies. On a relatively subjective level, I would give the collection a "good" rating. The first movie was a special effects marvel, at the time, but was fairly weak on most other levels - still fun, but not great. The second movie was probably the best for Star Trek fans because it extended the original show that dealt with the origins of Khan and did it very, very well. From there the movies descended in quality on a pretty much straight line. The Search for Spock was still quite good and appealed to fans quite well. The rest were okay, but by the last regular movie (not including the "Captain's Summit" here) it was almost unwatchable if you weren't a Star Trek fan. The Blu-ray quality makes the experience more enjoyable and with a relatively large screen tv is lots of fun. If you're a Star Trek fan, definitely get this collection (especially if you can get it cheap on Ebay :^).Read full review
Excellent product. I was looking for a good way to get all the Trek movies in one place, and this box set did not disappoint. Now, as for the product, these films are the original theatrical versions, so if you want to see Spock on the desert looking Vulcan or want to hear Scotty talk about his nephew, this is not the box you’re looking for (sorry, wrong star series). What it is is a box of excellent and entertaining films. Oh, and the special effects are incredible. I would recommend for any Trek fan or anyone who wants to get into Star Trek. I honestly would recommend watching Wrath of Khan first, as that is a great introduction to the series and they never really reference anything that happened in the first movie in any of the other movies

Love the set alot, but I was kinda disappointed a little. I thought the movies would have be remastered as they did with the old series. Foe example Star Trek The Motion Picture was the orginal release as it was in 1979, I was hoping for Directors Cut, and same with Star Trek II. But overall great set, and new material also. I hjope they release the Directors Cuts of the first two films on Blu-Ray someday. Has a bonus Blu-Ray with new interviews, very funny and nice see them out there laughing and talking about old times. Overall I would give the set an A- because of the first 2 movies. If that is not a problem for you then I highly reccomned this set for you. Life Long and Prosper and Enjoy
