Not the usual supernatural mystery series. In/Spectre brings together a couple that have had their humanity altered to the point of monsters. Kuro & Kotoko (m & f) backstory gets more explanation as well a new character introduction. Art quality is very good, dialogue is well written though it can get wordy. Extra story, authors note and some translation notes after the main manga are great bonus's. Overall, an enjoyable volume in a series I find worth following.

First book introduces the major players and sets the story arc in motion. There is a fair amount of exposition so this first book may be a little slow for some, but it serves its purpose to give you a good foundation. I’m a fan of the artists style, there’s nothing overly cartoon like (rubber hose limbs), overly graphic, or distracting. The art style makes it easy to read from cell to cell and page to page. The book itself is bound well and the paper used to construct it is not overly soft that the ink fails to adhere and therefore smears, but not too firm as to make it difficult to turn the page. It’s a good value for the money being just a touch over the price you’d pay in a B&M (brick and mortar) shop since you’re purchasing online.
