GPHII went through a few reformulations. I have found that the reformulation out-performs the original formulation on my skin. This is a light fragrance. The bergamot note is not overly sharp and almost comes off as a sweet lime which give the fragrance a Mediterranean/North African vibe (custom for the latter is to add lime to tea). It also last pretty long but fades to the background as the cinnamon and black notes appear. Once again, I'm referring to the reformulated version and its impact on my skin. The original version is a bit more toned down, not as sweet, and has no lime note!!!!! It pretty much smells like black tea with a splash of cinnamon and a drop or two of cream...literally. I like it but it's not exactly classy like a Bulgari scent. I can't classify it as a "artistic" or "story-telling" which is what I get from the reformulated version of GPHII but it's workable. Some people said they get a Chai Tea vibe from the original version, I don't. I get a boring British Black Tea with some cinnamon and cream chucked in there somewhere. Also, the original version doesn't last on my skin...maybe four hours max with skin prep and two hours without. I easily get six to seven hours from the reformulation version, having occasionally gotten as many as twelve hours depending on the weather, season, and temperature. Also, this can be a year round fragrance depending on where you live. If you're in an area that receives a lot of snow and will like to wear this during the winter - don't do it, just don't do it. GPHII is a very light fragrance so you may not smell anything, unless you're indoors and even then it may come across as a skin scent. I have found that the cinnamon and black tea notes are more prominent in the reformulated version than the original. In fact, all of the notes from the original are present in the reformulation, but they are heightened – again your mileage may vary. There is also a sweet creamy note but I'm not too sure where it's coming from. I tend to notice it near the dry down and it last quite some time, but stays close to the skin. Should you purchase this fragrance? That depends. If you’re a hipster – maybe. If you’re a bohemian with some urban yet refined qualities – yes. If you like unisex modern fragrances that are not projection monsters, or looking for something to wear to the office - yes, this is for you.Read full review

The Gucci for men has a very good name for itself and wanting to try it on myself I have found that the smell is truly a very exotic one at that. A very leathery feel to it with a reminder of a forest for me (lol, not very good with describing the exact smell) Gucci for men is one fragrence you can wear to a casual dinner AND the Golden Globes alike. A Perfume worthy of my collection.
Gucci Pour Homme II is one of my all-time favorite colognes. It's classic, gentle, seductive and irresistible. The tea note is prominent and unique to this gentleman cologne. Violet leaves, cinnamon, musk and myrrh all blend in to support the tea note. A great compliment getter!
