Number one this is a refill for the canisters. I saw a complaint. You can get refill out of it if you have one of those things you push down onto the sprayer line! I have a 80's gold canister I put my refills on. I never buy unless I check FB, big sellers or new ppl. 99% FB with big sellers don't mean nothing if they sell a lot. I never got ripped off with my Shalimar on eBay because I read FB and ask for photos if private seller and check see if it is fake box. You can do that. Shalimar is a classic, I've worn it since the 80's. I'm 56. It's one of my all time favorites. I always get compliments. It's perfect for fall and winter. I use other Guerlains for Spring and Summer. Highly recommend it and the EDT is weaker than perfume but I just spray on a scarf or my coat. It's heavenly like all Guerlain fragrances. This is a refill for canisters, cheaper n better bargain but be careful who you buy it From online, everywhere. I got a fake for $30 off eBay and a real one off eBay for same price. Lots of fake perfumes online! This frag is perfection. I don't know how any one could hate it. But some do...to each his own. Too many like this fruity, yada yada...I know ppl have allergies. I wanted to write this review because I know nothing about Shalimar beyond it is So many people's favorite. What caught my eye and warmed my heart was the soft glow and beautiful appeal of the vintage refillable case. It is 2gorgeous4words. It is made of gold metal, softly cut in a geometric pattern that is attention-getting and somehow oddly comforting. It is an elegant blend of strong lines and vulnerable circles. When I received it, the first thing that amazed me was its size. It is quite large: over 6 inches tall and a 1-1/2 inch diameter. The refill bottles have an incredibly wide range, pricewise, from $70-80 to $124 or more. This is where eBay comes to the rescue with affordable refills. Vintage Shalimar is one of my favorite brands of Cologne/EDT. It's getting harder to come by even on e-bay. I was delighted to see the metal gold tone canister was in such good condition & the scent inside the bottle was heavenly. It certainly was worth buying. I prefer to buy Vintage Colognes over the current scents. Guess I'm Vintage too. It was Shalimar Perfume the Prince of Monaco presented his bride actress Grace Kelly on their wedding day. Shalimar, Joy & Chanel no.5 are favorites around the world.
THIS IS A CHRISTMAS GIFT. SO.... I CAN'T SAY IF IT IS LONG LASTING. I HAVE USED THIS PARTICULAR FRAGRANCE FOR YEARS AND HAVE ALWAYS HAD COMPLIMENTS ON THE SCENT.
