Rochas is a fashion and perfume house established in 1925 by the talented French designer Marcel Rochas. For a decade the fashion was his main occupation and he designed the first skirts with pockets, as well as the two-third length coats. In 1936 he introduced his first three perfumes which won the hearts of many. At the end of World War II, in 1945, he founded the Marcel Rochas Fragrance Company which turned out to be a huge success and created emblematic perfumes praised all over the world.

    My husband has a sensitive nose. Over 35 years ago he went through the fragrance department in one of our swankier stores. He was hunting for a smell HE liked AND did NOT have an actress or sports figure attached to it. BYZANCE was and is that fragrance. Now MY fragrance is apparently no longer being made. I am easily paying 3-10 times as much for MY fragrance.

    Byzance the only fragrance for me

    Are used it many years ago and when it was discontinued I have search the Internet in the world over to find it again. It is The only perfume for me due to its amazing fragrance as well as it’s long lasting ability.

    This scent goes with any occasion-formal or casual

    I bought this Byzance Eau de Toilette by Madame Rochas because it has the most sophisticated, subtle scent-never overpowering. It is very compatible with my skin and it lasts all day. I'm sorry to know that they have stopped making it. It's very had to find and if you can, it's very expensive. Even the beautiful cobalt blue empty bottle and box lined in hot pink is valuable. I'm so happy to have been able to obtain this beautiful bottle. My other favorite scent is L'Air du Temps.
