Great Classic Cartoon Adventure, Reminds me of the ride at disneyland mr. toads wild ride. So glad to have found myself a copy, would not have been able to without the knowledge of butch patrick's personal secretary for the munster fan club, I was at the movie theater back in the 70's and they ran a preview of the up and coming new features and that was one of the new movies at the time. I was fasinated when the littl boy drove through the cartoon roads. Reminded me of when I was a little boy and driving through Mr. Toads Wild Ride Was a real treat to buy myself a copy once I found out the correct title.I thought it was called the little red car, or the boy in the little red car And could never find a title with that name. But My Luck came true just as it did for butch in the movie returning back home to play with his best friends Thank You So Much, Sincerely Sheldon DeitchRead full review
I think I watched this movie 100 times growing up. I loved the way Milo went from live action to animated and eventually back. Just getting the box with the very cool car and tollbooth inside was enough for me! Looking back, it was quite educational (like the Whether Man as opposed to the Weather Man). It seems the story itself is an exploration of whether words or numbers are more important to society and which have furthered us. Taking that one step further - is it the arts or science that have brought us to where we are today as a civilization? I agree with the movie that both are equally important. Great movie!
I loved that it was sort of Dr. Suess-esque. It was so neat to see something, and show my kids a video memory I had from my childhood. It puts some interesting points forward, like take advantage of being a kid, don't just sit around saying I'm boored. Go out and do something. Learn something new, use what you know.
I bought the movie as my children who are in their early 30's loved watching it when they were young. I enjoyed it also.
