I expected there to be a wait for hot air, kind of like a soldering iron or hot glue gun. Not the case. It's putting hot air out almost instantly. Nothing to try my patience or make me twiddle my fingers while I wait for it to decide to get hot. A very pleasant surprise. I'm used to inch measurements and have a hard time relating to metric sizes. So, 24 cm sounded pretty small, not the case. This is bigger than I expected to see, but maybe that's why it works so well. Not so big as to interfere with heat shrinking tubing (the primary use I envision for this). Big enough that I will find more uses for it. The price I paid is more than reasonable. The unit feels solid in my hand, the kickstand works well and is sized well for the unit. A worthwhile purchase.

I bought this product to use on heat shrink sleeves. I was surprised to discover that it is not very good for this particular purpose assuming I don't have a lemon example of the product. I put the product on a watt meter and it is using between 295-298 watts, so right on the claimed specification. I expect the air is moving a bit too fast to get a hot as I need it to be and there is no speed control, just an on/off switch. I am disappointed. I have gone back to using a flame producing BBQ lighter for curing heat shrink and a lot of care is required to avoid burning/depositing soot on the sleeve.

Ordered this as I needed a replacement heat gun to shrink my heatshrink. I really like this unit, it isnt too large but has lots of power and heats up fast. The Construction seems really good, and I like how the heat tip has a plastic shield around it to help stop you getting burned when its hot. I like it so much I plan to purchase a second to have on hand when this one eventually wears out.

I got this heat gun to use to replace a laptop digitiser (screen) and it made a world of difference once I heated the sides where there two sided taped or glued, the glass screen(digitiser) didn't even crack much after heating then prying up with a spudger and it was easier to handle than a traditional heat gun.

The perfect product, does exactly what it has, perhaps only a smaller nozzle is missing.
