I needed to replace my Palm Pre but did not what to extend my current contract with Sprint for another 2 years. My employer requires on device encryption to sync with my work email so I was forced into selecting an Windows Mobile (only option with Sprint). I am not a fan of the phone at all, but it will be fine until my contract is up in another year and I can move to a provider of the iPhone or the Android starts providing on device encryption. The phone itself has AMAZING battery life and the basic functions work well. The web is garbage and I've resolved to just deal with it. The common complaints that I have read are spot on, but are more annoyances than anything technically wrong. The only thing that makes me want to take a hammer to it is the random blue tooth dropping/disconnecting. Really frustrating when I'm driving and my in car's blue tooth disconnects as it is not safe to fuss with it to turn it back on. At the end of the day the phone would not have been my first, second or third choice, but when forced into making a selection between the handful of Windows Mobile devices, finishing out my contract with Sprint and still connecting to my work account it's "fine" for the money I put out for it.Read full review
Windows 6.5 mobi is known for getting very buggy and over time ceasing to work. This promises just that - it will begin constantly freezing whether you're trying to text, email, or make a receive a telephone call. The only solution is a hard reset which will give you a month or two of problem free use...before you have to do it again. It does have excellent battery life and is one of few phones currently available with which you can have internet capabilities (wifi) without being forced to have a data plan with your carrier, and unfortunately windows based phones are the only devices that have such capabilities. Overall having the wifi isn't worth the miserable, frustrating experience. Pay for the data or go to a non 'smart' phone. This device is anything but smart.
For once, I wanted a modern cellphone with a lot of gadgets. This phone does everything. It's phone that has a great camera, smooth Internet access, great graphics, easy messaging interface (I love having access to my work emails and calendar everywhere, all the time), GPS, all the time weather, alarm clock, games,a SMART card reader, You tube, stop watch, calculator, etc. Best of all, mine was a new phone for under $150.
I like the weight and how sleek it is to hold. It's relatively easy to use, though the keyguard can be a bit annoying when you're using the alarm. You have to key in the code to "snooze" it. Not enough info on the manual to maximize all the little features.
I had this phone for a year and some now. it works great i have no issues with it. battery life is great and the voice recording is amazing and very high quality. i can use it to get internet on my laptop anywhere i go and it works wonderful. i love the phone.
