Overall This is great Windows Mobile smartphone. As with all post 2008 smartphones for Verizon you MUST pay for a data plan to activate this phone on your line. Compared to the iPhone this is more of a work horse, and iPhone is less productive and more of a lifestyle smartphone. Although they have some of the same features like: -E-mail integration -Finger friendly user interface -Slide to unlock screen -Start on this phone = the iPhone's springboard -Tilt functionality (when you tilt the phone the screen tilts with you) -Threaded text messaging (although WM 6.5 messaging is not as good as iPhone) Technical This phone uses HTCs Touch Flo3D user interface, which is pretty smooth and intuitive. The weather app that is built into Touch Flo3D is way better than the iPhone weather app. Windows Mobile 6.5 is overall touch friendly, at least compared to previous Windows Mobile installments. The drawback with this phone is it seems to use up a lot of program memory. Just sitting at the home screen eats up 80-90% of your program memory. This can be fixed however with some tweaking. This phone is great for productivity, with mobile Office, and easy e-mail integration you can get work done on the fly. School work, review class Power Points, write Word documents and e-mail them, even build Excel spreadsheets. This like other Windows Mobile phones is also great for hardcore PC users. If you like to change everything about your smartphone and customize it, the Imagio will let you do that. Overall I give it a 8 out of 10.Read full review
I have used Blackberry Pearl, Blackberry Curve, Blackberry Storm, MotoQ 9M, MotoQ 9C and now the HTC Ozone. This size, screen resolution, keyboard, speed, etc, are awesome on this phone. Pros- Speed (almost twice the processing speed of the MotoQ 9M), screen is vivid and nice, QWERTY keyboard, shortcut buttons, Windows 6.1 (capable of 6.5). Cons- No Camera flash, no shortcut keyboard features for going to top/bottom of email/browser (was very useful on MotoQ), and #1 missing feature is a track ball (if it had this, my other Cons would disappear!). All in all, great windows phone from a reputable manufacturer.
Along with its keyboard-free sibling, the HTC Touch Diamond, the Touch Pro has an impressive feature set. Perhaps the most important feature is its VGA screen, which provides a higher-resolution display than the QVGA screens in use today on Windows Mobile smartphones. Other features include the Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS, TouchFLO 3D,, a 3MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, EV-DO mobile broadband, and GPS.
It's nearly a month after I have got this smartphone in hands - frankly speaking, all functions/features as its spec. described work very well, although it seems to be a little bit necessary program/application being pre-installed in place, however, not so difficult to make familiar with it, particularly, regarding self-studying and how-to-install/setting more necessary local applications e.g. Thai Language & Keyboard software, GPS (being said that) "Garmin" that quite popular and work very well in Thailand, other than Dictionary and Email/Chat applications that rather take certain times until the installation/setting completed. In conclusion, would say that the phone is more than worth comparing with price and easy-going life received - I am pround to be its owner and to recommend/share this to my friend as much as possible.Read full review
