Had this phone ten years ago. Probably the best phone I have ever owned. The battery lasts for an eternity and the keyboard makes texting easy enough when my wife is bombarding me via her smartphone. Plus the orange is a nice color.

The phone is not good for texting. The screen and the buttons are too small. You cannot hear very well on the other end when making a call with this phone.

The main reason for my purchase was my other phone broke and when my contract with Verizon is up in a couple months I don't plan on renewing it, plus the price on this one was affordable. One of the main reasons, besides the price, is the QWERTY keyboard...I like to text! Although the outside screen is on the small side the inside screen is much larger and easier to view. The camera on this phone is great as well. It takes pretty good photos and with the built in flash you're able to use the camera more often. Dislikes, well where to start! You can't use songs you purchase from V-Cast as a ringtone, and most of the ringtones that are on the phone are not to my liking. Another thing I really dislike is that the texts are not grouped into a conversation setting and the inbox only holds 40 messages before you get the annoying message that the inbox is 80% full. I like to say that my phone stutters while I'm texting. If I don't watch closely I either have repeated letters or letters missing as some keys, such as the "g" and "q" need to be pushed a little harder. The final dislike is the charger port. There is not a snug fit and the charger tends to make it's way out while the phone is just sitting there. All in all, it's a good phone for the amount of time I will be using it and for the price I paid, but I don't think I will be buying an LG again.Read full review
I've been using the LG ENV for years with no problems..It's been a very reliable phone and is so easy to use that I didn't have to consult the owner's manual. Texting is a breeze with the QWERTY keyboard. I bought a spare phone and extra batteries so I can charge the battery and still have a phone to use. I would give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. It's suited my needs but isn't great for internet access due to the small screen. The VZ Navigator comes in handy when I'm on the road and trying to find destinations. It also provides traffic alerts, movie times and weather. You can also download songs from the Verizon app for an additional charge. If you're looking for a good phone for talk and texting, this is the phone for you

I bought this phone because I had one for about 3 years and I liked it alot. I like the size of it and I can actually dial a number on the key pad. I also like the keypad on the inside. It is easy to use. I am not ready for a blockberry yet, as I have not seen one that I can use the keypad. Another good thing about this vx9900 is that you get alot of features, but you do not have to pay the 35.00.mo just to have it hooked up. I bought this phone online because they don't sell it in the verizon stores anymore. This is a superb value for the money. I actually bought 2 of these phones at the same time.
