As a step up to a touch phone, I'm not missing the reactive screen. Further just being an Android it is light years beyond my Windows Mobile phone. Screen is a little small but for quick read & lookup it's fine. Big fingers do find it hard to type on the keyboard. 3.5mm audio jack is good why doesn't every phone have this? Others in family have iphones which I've played with; I'd guess sensitivity and reaction is better than this Comet but only slightly. For the money it delivers and is the best handheld device I've had since the old Palm M500 days.
When i received the phone, I was excited. I had heard that Android 2.2 was the bomb, and the the Comet did a great job. Pro's Good OS, lots of Apps, WIFI, Bluetooth, WCDMA (TMobile's WCDMA only) and GSM Cons Very Poor battery, need to recharge everyday with only a moderate use of the phone and the touch screen is choppy. I think the processor is too small for everything Android users look to do. That being said, its usable, and as long as I keep it charged, it will do for now.
The Android interface is intuitive and great looking. The swipe feature for text/email is outstanding and very intelligent. The Comet can utilize entire android market, huge plus. My only complaints are the camera, which is expected for the price and age of the product, and the battery life, which is very low. I average 16-18 hours, which is fine for a normal day, but I'm used to my 3 year old Blackberry, which got 3 days off a single charge.
This is my first Android. I was uncertain about the whole 'computer with a telephone application' dealie. But, the size of this device and the features like personal hotspot have completely won me over to the idea. For anyone who does not have more than the basic cell phone; you will never go back once you have been able to check email, and research the web right from your handheld. I am a very environmentally conscientious individual and this device allows me to up-level my eco-behavior by saving time, eliminating paper and keeping me connected to opportunities. Bigger is not always better and this device proves it. I just wish it had the music player of a Nokia. Seems no other manufacturer can match Nokia on music quality.
Compact 3G Android Phone. Easy to use. A real bang for the buck. Once it is rooted you can install some cool android apps.I like it because it is small and compact and does everything i need it to do: internet, maps, GPS directions, email, text, radio, mp3's, videos etc. Expandable microSD. Note : if you use built in music player - the sound is low, and it won't have the same sound quality of a iPOD - you'll need to install a better Music Player, EQ and amp. Other than that it is a real decent/and affordable Android SmartPhone for those who use t-mobile pre-paid ... If I had a plan - I would simply get a 4G Anroid phone for $99-$150 w/ plan.
