I love this phone. I may seem biased because I am a Motorola fan,but this phone is cool. It's slightly thicker than a Razr but makes it good for gripping it tight, and it's slimmer than the razr so it's compact. It comes with tons of cool features, has a bright screen, and you can even save money on downloads thanks to the memory card slot. It can hook up to your computer and had bluetooth capabilities. The music player is cool too, but I don't really like it all like that because you can't do anything else while you are listening to music, just listen to music. I also LOVE the voice operating system it has. I didn't have to train it whatsoever, and it works fine! Great phone!
I bought the used Phone Motorola W490 One month ago. It was Ok for everthing. I guess I will use it until I get the next phone within 6 monthes. Seller has good conmunication.in general. However,Battery life doesn't seem very long and it doesn't hold too many text messages.I am very happy with this phone. It is small, easy to use, and meets my needs.
I like this phone mainly because my wife liked it. Got to keep the ladies happy and she just loves the green color of the phone. I bought it for her because the dog ate her other cell phone and I did not purchase insurance on it, so she had to have another phone. We have tmoble with my faves and this phone fit the bill. She liked the looks of it and I like it because it is similar to my motoactive phone, so I know how to work the features on it. Plus it uses the same charger as all my other phones. With the price of new phones the economical way to purchase a good used phone is on ebay.
I found Motorola's new W490, to be everything I've looked for in a small form factor. it is simplicity in a very functional package that is easy to use, looks tremendously expensive, yet easy on the pocketbook. Motorola has outdone itself with this cellphone with its SD memory slot, 1.3 Megapixal/8x zoom camera system, MP3 player and video movie system built into it. In my line of work with construction, the phone is easy to use via it's built in bluetooth connection. It's slim enough to tuck away in a case or place into my pocket and go about my work all day without having to pick it up with work gloves. But best of all...it's easy to program via the built in settings menu. For those who are looking for a slim yet sturdy cellphone that is simple to use yet has more features then most people would think of ever using, I suggest giving the new W490 a first, second and even a third look....before buying. i love the purple color. and the fact that it's not as wide as the razr. i like the fact i can set a song from the sd card and copy to phone and use as ringtone. (of course i tend to take longer to answer just to hear the song!) the pictures look clear. i took pictures of the pages of an old calender i really liked and set as wallpaper to fit my mood. good reception. i like the phone so much i got another one in black, and also bid on some green ones. the green color is really cool also. phone is my faves capable. i also have the razr and the pebl ..and the one thing i don't like is that when any of these phones are in the case on my jeans pocket, i have a hard time hearing them ring. wish motorola could make the volume a little louder. but this is minor, the pros definately outweigh the ring volume issue. great little phone.Read full review
