We bought this as a 'for now' phone when my husband's Note Edge decided to take a dirt nap. While it is a lot smaller and thicker, it's still a good sturdy phone. It was a bit of a pain to get activated as I couldn't complete the activation on my own and instead had to let Sprint do it (chalking it up to the age of the device compared to the plan we are on). The keyboard comes in handy considering that the screen is so small. But it will suffice until we pay off his current device and can upgrade to a new one. Overall, it's a good device as a replacement or would be great for a first time android user.

I've had this phone a few times and the slide out keyboard becomes very loose very quickly. the touch screen starts to mess up and starts making calls on its own. it can not old many apps and is not compatible with much apps because the android version is so old. its good for using if you just make calls and texts.

I have had my HTC Evo Shift for about a week now and I must say I do love it. There are a lot of different features on the phone to play with and the android market makes it a lot more enjoyable to have this phone. The camera takes great quality pictures but one thing that I find irritating is that it does not have a camera button on the side of the phone which I find difficult to take pictures of myself with others. It would also be nice to have the front facing camera, but I suppose that only comes with the larger HTC Evo. Overall I love the phone and will be using it for quite a while.
This is a good phone if you are on a budget. It is not the most powerful ( 3D games can't always be ran on full settings) but it is definitely not "slow". Battery life is VERY impressive. I can get 5-6 hours playing games and using WiFi to surf the internet. If you are thinking of getting this phone, chech some of you other options first. The Galaxy S line of phones are serious contenders. One thing I dislike about this phone is it doesn't have a front facing camera. Also keep in mind the screen is very small.
I purchased this phone as an interim phone while I waited for my HTC ONE. It was a great backup phone. It only has a 2.1 Android operating system so you are limited with what you can do. It is a basic phone with very limited memory, like I said it was just a back up phone. I love the keyboard feature and I would like to see that on other better models. Also the phone is VERY durable, because I dropped it too many times to count and had no issues.
