This is one of the first generation Push To Talk (PTT) models that were offered by Verizon Wireless. Like the rest of the V60 series phone it is constructed very well, Aluminum shell, with a tough plastic housing inside. The buttons are very well laid out so no need to worry about fat fingering numbers. The Display is not color, with the exception of a greenish tint at night, for its day it was ok. The speakerphone on this thing is awesome and can be used in both PTT mode as well as during a call, your neighbor will definitely hear you. Very solid construction. The unit comes standard with a stub antenna and get very good reception. For personal use or for a crew a work you will not be disappointed. Remember basic PTT phone that does not have a lot of bells and whistles but does the job. If you have this phone or even think about getting this phone make sure that the software is updated, there is a tremendous improvement over the first generation PTT software that came with the phone. You can get the software upgraded or FLASHED at any Verizon Wireless store that has the FLASH box set up, call to check so you don’t waste your time. The major improvement is for the PTT portion of the phone, decreasing the amount of time between connections by about 3-4 seconds...that’s a long time and a huge improvement that was made. The software upgrade also fixes other glitches but that should be your main reason for wanting to do it. Below are some specs from the manual. We haven't used the phone, but it looks good. According to Verizon customer service you need to have two phones to use it. We thought we could get this phone and then get one for me later and use the one we purchased simply as a phone. Apparently it doesn't work that way and if you have two people in a plan then both of you need to have the push-to-talk phones to even use the phone. So I gave the rating good instead of excellent, because we haven't been able to use it, but it does look good.
Was given one of these phones for my little collection, and whoa this phone takes you back to the first gen flip phone era. It actually was pretty state of the art, and when researched, I guess it was high-tech in 2003-04 era. It works quite well for being older- and looks pretty good for the age. It took me back to the era when I owned the V120E, and this was released the same time. I guess they came out at the same time, one was a flip and one was a bar phone. This obviously is a flip. The one con I can think of is the charger system is sort of unreliable. On my v120e the port broke and that is what made me have to upgrade, it would have you have to wiggle the charger and mess around for it to charge. Good reliable phone if you want or need one for an elderly or basic user. I am not that user so I won't use it for a lot of things, but it was fun to look back on this device, like how much technology has changed.Read full review
This is a Great, Dependable Cell Phone. Using 2 in the family, and always have at least one as a backup. Wife recently lost hers and just had to go on the Verizon web site to get a back up programmed. Can't be easier. And the Phone has all the features I need. I just keep getting them from E-bay.
the phone is small,i love it but I lose it a lot in my purse every motorola I'ved had has been a great phone so I really have nothing to complain about I live in a place where it is hard to get a signal. My husband has a Razer and has no problems with a signal anywhere. my phones gets ok reception where I live but I believe it's with the carrier not the phone.
