I bought this phone first for big high-quality screen, QWERTY-keyboard and Wi-Fi capability! Phone is enough fast for everyday tasks, it has Windows Mobile 6.5 OS and yeah it's not popular superOS Android, but I need only communication, it supports up to 32Gb memory with hot-pludge, easy to install and uninstall applications! New version of OS (6.5.3) is laggy, that's why I keep old version! Minuses - no software updates, no Flash Player 10.3, browser is medium, some minor lags with WM 6.5, horrible camera features (even my mom's phone with 2mpx no autofocus takes pictures way better), very cheap choice of apps via Market. With Android phone you can share your computer's internet with your phone (via USB), Windows Phones can't handle it... P.S. I bought this phone for my friend, he's new with smartphones, it's good phone for his needs!Read full review
I've gone through a number of feature-rich phones, but this is the one for me. I have a tough time texting on phones with only a touch screen, and the ample slide out keyboard makes typing for text or web use very easy. The tilt screen is also very handy. Although the operating system (Windows Mobile 6.5) is considered obsolete by some, I find free applications, such as google maps, a password keeper and tip calculator easy to download, install and use. The phone is just the right size for reading web pages, yet isn't bulky in shirt or pants pocket. The call quality is excellent. It connects easily to my bluetooth headset, and has user-friedly features such as an FM radio, weather and stock information and it automatically turns on the speakerphone function when placed face down. All in all, I'm very happy with this phone.Read full review
Very happy with this phone as I bought it for use with T-Mobile and did not want a data plan (WiFi to me is a must). And the fact that it has Windows 6.5 with Microsoft Office is another superb feature of this phone. The superb pros outweigh the cons, hence my 5 star rating! Below I list the Pros and Cons: PROS: 1) WiFi (a must have when you do not want a costly data plan). 2) Wonderful FM radio with great reception. 3) Perfect size - compact phone but not too small. 4) GREAT 2.8" screen, clear and easy to read. 5) Wonderful Google maps. 6) Screen has lots of "bounce" easy to scroll up and down on the Internet. 7) Love Windows 6.5! 8) Friendly home screen with easy menu bar at the bottom. 9) Like the zoom feature at the bottom of the screen. 10)Peppy and zippy smart phone! 11) You Tube app, Google Maps app that is awesome, Facebook app! 12)Best of all: 3.5" headphone jack! (About time HTC)! 13) Just add any sim card and this phone is ready to go. I added my T-Mobile card and the phone works just perfectly! 14) User friendly phone with a built in onscreen QWERTY keyboard. 15) When on the internet, there is a zoom feature up to 200% for easy viewing of standard web pages and super viewing of mobile web pages. CONS: 1) Somewhat low screen resolution, however, the screen is bright and detailed and very clear and easy to read. 2) Wish the screen was 3.0" to 3.4", but still I like the compact size of this phone and the fact that it is pocket/purse friendly and very lightweight! Superb phone, I love it! *Be prepared to purchase another home adapter for USA as mine came with the European adapter, however, I had an extra HTC Micro home adapter on hand so no problem.Read full review
I love the design, it's light weight, although is plastic... feels kinda sturdy. Android is a very nice OS. LOVE IT! HTC sence is nice... really easy to use! CONS: Screen resolution...i know... this is the "cheap" or entry level of HTC smartphones. BUT WTH? Is HTC want to grab more market share from NOKIA and others, better start improving things. For this price there are other phones with better resolution. Also, Whats the deal with the low amount of memory for apps and storage?? come on!
The phone is clearly NOT Android based, though its software emulates the system pretty well. I have no problems with bluetooth or wi-fi network connections. Operation is pretty flawless despite the fact that it is so cheap. The only two drawbacks I would account for are: 1. Cannot synchronize the phone with a PC, making contact management quite difficult. 2. Does not support that many extra applications. 3. Camera function is pretty poor. 4. Will not upload all Internet apps. If you can do without these functions then this is a pretty good phone at an excellent price.
