I got this phone for Metro PCS since I left Verizon. Voice and Text worked fine but Data didn't work until I rooted the phone and add APN (access point name)for Metro PCS. Other than that I had no problem using it. It cost as much as my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2014 Edition but has same functions plus phone. It's a good phone but unless price drop to about $300.00, I don't considered value for money.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is a great combination of smart phone and tablet! I have not used my iPad for weeks, since purchasing this great technological advancement in communication and work. I am still learning how to use all the wonderful tools available with the Note 2, for example today I tried Office Pro and the found out it can speak what I write, as well as type what I speak. It's my personal stenographer! The drawing and changing pictures with some of my own artwork is a lot of fun too! I didn't think I could switch from being an avid iPhone user, since the iPhone 3, but have adapted well to the freedom, only Android allows, and advanced options available. The graphics are amazing and the wonderful screen size is great for viewing anything you want, without needing to zoom in. I look forward to the future Android products and particularly the Note 3, etc... You should try one at your local cell phone store, it will be hard to put down and go back to that small iPhone, it's addictive!Read full review
I went from a Motorola Droid Razr Max to this Samsung Note II and it is fantastic. It is fast and will do more tricks than a monkey with a peanut. I don't know if I will live long enough to learn how to master all the things this phone will do but it is fun trying. The size doesn't bother me and in fact the screen is the most delicious thing about the phone. It is crystal clear, bright and easy to read. I would recommend this phone to anyone especially if you travel overseas. I brought the phone to China on a business trip, bought a China Mobile Sim Card for a few bucks and it worked perfectly from the moment I inserted the card. Saved me a ton of money and works flawlessly. If you have ever traveled out of the US and tried to use your US Carrier mobile service you know the incredible expense of it and most of the time doesn't work very well. Do not let anyone tell you this phone will not work with another carrier in another country. It WORKS.Read full review
Disclaimer: Long Review!!! I purchased this phone after my Samsung Illusion died on me after just one too many falls. It was a good phone but this one is just a monster of a phone in terms of all that you can do with it. So obviously this was a huge upgrade for me in the smart phone department but I couldn't be happier. After thoroughly researching a plethora of phones for almost 2 weeks I decided on the Note 2. This one just seemed (AND IS, in my opinion anyway), to be perfect in terms of everything I wanted in a phone. Battery life, sound quality, design, ease of use, EVERYTHING!!!! Productivity hounds will LOVE this!!!!!!! (LOVE the S pen!!!) Additionally, as you cannot get past the size, this was actually a HUGE plus for me as I know that I do not have to take my tablet with me now all the time. So, yeah, LOVE LOVE LOVE the size and it's a breeze to handle for me. And, no, my hands aren't huge, (I'm a girl), but the phone just feels great. It's not too heavy, it's thin and it does fit in my pocket although I probably will try to avoid that as much as possible as this IS an investment so I do not want to take any chances. Nevertheless, the reviews in regards to its durability are great in that department too although yes, because of the size, don't even wait, BUY A CASE & A SCREEN PROTECTOR. Also, I would recommend a 64GB micro-sd card to preserve the phone's storage space as much as possible. Moving on...in terms of research and why this phone is worth every penny. I highly recommend checking out YouTube comparison videos {ex. Erica Griffin gives ones of the best reviews on this phone...it's long but its way more detailed and should convince you or at the very least help you to make up your mind}. Additonally, you could check out techradar, cnet, etc. So lastly I can already see that this phone alone WILL replace many of the additional apps that I had been using as everything that I wanted is fully integrated, it's already there. Thus, coming to the end of my review I leave with an ode to you Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Oh, you note, the things that you do You had me at hello And this concludes my review!!! (short but sweet..unlike my review lol) ENJOY!!!!Read full review
I went from an iphone 5 to those phone mainly because I kept running out of memory on my iphone 16gb . I've been using the phone for 3 days now. I kinda miss the simplicity of the iphone. But I love the big screen for a lot of things. I'm surprised at how long the battery lasts! It's way better on the battery then my iphone. The removable /upgradable memory is the biggest advantage over the iPhones.
