This phone is great. It's one of the least expensive Android phones on the market, yet it has basically everything you need; 3G, WiFi, a 3.2Mp camera, Fm Radio, Media Player...and the amazing HTC Sense Technology is so cool! The phone's compactness makes it easy to carry around - and it fits on the palm of your hands. It's got a 2.8-inch resistive touch screen (a disadvantage bacause you wont have the best touch experience - capacitive screens are much better). The slightly smaller screen size means some apps may not work well, but so far I've found enough apps that work for me (on androidMarket). So far, I'm loving this phone!
great phone i was dreaming to buy a "HTC HD 7" at last i brought and got an issue with connecting to the wifi. i guess that with the operating system and i ask support with the windows mobile team and they ask me to re-set the phone and try once., i able to connect public wifi but not every one. but still i can not connect to the home wifi which i can connect my PC and apple iphone ( my friend's ) *** wifi issue is not with the sellers problem its totally with the operating system i guess a bug. because phone search the wifi routers. only thing is getting and error message as " could not connect to the wifi ( wifi name. ) router name. *** basically good smooth mobile with large display and enjoying with 5 mega-pixel camera taking super quality pictures. and currently using my data plan internet to browse and download apps. but i can not download lot of games through data connecting asking to connect to the wifi network or to connect PC using data connection. :( all around i love and thanks for the person who send me the phone can keep trust with him. sends me what i needed got sim card (T-mobile.) and every thing was as described. planing to buy more goods from him. to do MORE business. :) - Hashen. The product runs an older version Google Android (version 1.6 in my case) and cannot easily be upgraded by non-techs. The phone is basically a brick until you put in a SIM card with a mobile data plan. Then you can sign-in to your Google account. After that the phone suddenly comes to life. WIFI can be setup, a voice-only SIM card inserted, and voila, you have an amazingly functional phone with access to most Android Apps. Stock Android version 1.6 is really good. But if you want the cutting edge, you'll have to "root" your phone, and load the new OS - not something for the faint-hearted. Still, expect to charge your phone everyday - more often than that if you use the full capabilities of the phone or make some calls. Can charge via USB while connected to your computer.
I bought the HTC 8925 few weeks ago. It was an upgrade for me because I had the Hermes 8525. It came with all the features of the old phone but with a few improvements. This phone had a nicer look as the menu buttons were compressed into a newer design. It had all the software as the previous software, but it also came with some improvements when using the programs. I could delete all the contacts at once as oppose to one at a time on the old version. Generally the menus were more user friendly. It also tilted upwards to simulate a laptop which was a plus. On the other hand when the phone is tilted it make accessing the menu buttons difficult. It also did not recognize incoming calls which the numbers were stored in my contacts list. This problem was easily fixed though by adding the full area code. Eg. on the 8525 I had 693-9999 on the 8925 I had to store the same number as +501-693-9999. Ultimately its a very nice phone but I opted to keep my 8525.Read full review
This phone rocks! My fiance decided that I needed a cell phone with a navigation system, so he bought one. Unfortunately, it was a Palm Pixi that was part of the plan he already had; it was painful to look at and the keyboard was cramped. This HTC EVO was my choice and it was a wise one. The screen is large enough to read messages and the internet without a problem. The screen is crisp and the phone seems to have all that I need to conduct business on the go. I agree, the volume on it could be better and it does take a lot of power, but you can feel why when you use it. Also, it would be nice to remove some of the apps that are pre-installed, like NASCAR among others. Overall, it was worth it and I look forward to learning more about all of its features.
