Bought this phone for my little brother who kept asking me to buy it. It was cheap so I didn't have high expectations. But the phone is pretty decent especially for a first time android Smartphone user. It has a very sensitive and responsive touch screen. My brother has been playing games on it and they play very good if you don't have too many apps running in the background. Also the phone does not feel cheap at all it feels very solid and a bit heavy in your hand. The BIG downside is the very poor battery life. If heavily used it won't go half a day without recharging. Also I have not been able to change the time on this phone. The clock and date settings will only allow you to change the time form from 24H to AM/PM.
This phone was on sale until recently at the cricket web site for 39.99. It is not the best smart phone on the market, but it works ok. Internal memory is very small and you will have to supply your own micro SD card since the one that comes with it will be only 1 gig(3 gigs reserved for the Muve Music only). Works well with most basic apps, but if they can't be stored on the SD card you will probably have to do without. Facebook and Twitter apps can't be moved to SD card so you will have to pick and choose carefully what you install on the phone. Unlike the Chorus model which boasts being a smartphone, this one can access the Google Play store.
This is...the worst phone ever. I got this phone because I used to have a touch screen messenger phone that I loved with Cricket, but I had dropped it in the toilet. All of my friends had gone to Androids and iphones, so I decided that if I was going to get another phone, it was going to be an android. I had to make a fast decision because I needed a phone, and I bought this phone at Kmart. I was beyond excited to get 'the new thing' and quickly, became disappointed. I worked 8 hour days at work, and I used to have to go out to my car on every break just to charge my phone because it was dead within 2 hours. If you don't touch it, which means no calls, no texts, no web, it lasts for MAYBE 4 hours. If I forgot to charge it overnight, I would have a dead phone in my pocket all day the next day. The first month I had it, I wanted to throw it at a wall. I bought an extended battery and it was VERY helpful, but the extended battery was about 25 dollars, and within 3 months, it quit working. Now I have another phone, and I am more than happy with it. I don't know why this phone has 4 stars, because it definitely doesn't deserve that. Please, take it from a working woman, that needs a reliable phone to get a hold of my husband and my family, this thing is crap and made me want to cry sometimes because it would be dead every time I really needed it for emergency situations. I have had to use friends phones, pay phones and work phones so many times because of this thing, IT'S NOT WORTH IT!Read full review
First- I had to rig the phone because it would shut off if moved too fast because the battery was not tight enough, so I had to trim a business card and use it to take up the extra room between the back cover and the battery. Second- The screen lock unlocks itself when it feels like it instead of when told to. This causes my face to hang up on people about twice a day. Third- The texting dictionary sets itself to suggest words from your address book instead of from the regular dictionary. The result- for every word you type, it suggests names only so that you have to type out every complete word making the feature useless. How many names do I really use in a texting convo? After hours of searching, I figured a way to switch it to a regular dictionary and after an hour, it switched itself back.Read full review
I am to much in a hurry to sit around, an take forever to text. Texting on this touch key board is just a dread. You click on the key you want an it clicks something else. You have to delete. When talking on the phone, the phone hangs up due to the screen sensitivities.. I would rather spend more money on a phone that works then spend it again for this. I was let down. Cricket has let me down. For not having no contract, they make you pay 15 dollar hook up fee each time you connect your phone with them... Waste of money an my time. Customer Service for this phone is a joke. You can't ever get a English speaker on this, an if you do, you look connection. Not ever again!!!
