This phone looks good, is easy to use and gets the job done. If you've had a smartphone before, that's probably all you need to know from my review. If not, then keep reading... For me, this turned out to be a great phone for the money. I originally wanted just another feature phone, but the ones I liked the look of weren't much cheaper than this phone. So I went ahead and got the Pantech instead. It does everything thing I want and of course has the extras that come with smartphones in general. Talk and text are simple to use, you can personalize wallpapers, display screens, etc. It doesn't come with the greatest ringtone choices, so you'll want to download your own. I have no problems with battery life, but I also don't constantly have apps running, (I downloaded app killer) and I don't use the live wallpapers. I do watch youtube, play on the internet, talk and I text a lot. I can actually go a day or two without having to charge this phone, whereas my friends and coworkers seem attached to their iphone chargers. So for people who are draining the battery every day, all I can say is they must use the heck out of their phone...but with normal use you should be fine. The touchscreen is very responsive, and I love the physical keyboard because I cannot type on the touchscreen keyboards. I think the graphics and colors are nice and sharp, and I don't experience any lag when using the phone. Call quality is great, and I don't have to worry about accidentally hitting buttons on the screen when making a call because the screen locks when I put the phone to my ear. I also like how I can be in any menu or screen, and if I get a text it will display for a few seconds at the very top of my screen. If it's a text I want to respond to I can just touch the notification bar at the top (it stays minimized till you tap on it) and then tap the text to respond. It never intereferes with whatever else I'm doing. So far the only thing that bugs me about the phone is how sensitive the keys are on the bottom of the phone. I've accidentally backed myself out of a few menus just by brushing against the back key. The phone also felt a bit cumbersome at first, but my previous phone was a tiny Samsung B3310 so that may be why this phone was kind of awkward at first. Overall this phone is simple to use and gets the job done.Read full review
Hardware shoulder buttons: One is a quick access list, the other is screen lock and power. I use them constantly. Keyboard: I can't manage to use on screen keyboards accurately. The hardware keyboard provides tactile feedback. The keys are large and nicely spaced, easy to see and feel. The sliding action is smooth and solid. All of the symbols accessed by the Alt key are also clearly printed on the keys, and I almost never need to go into the deeper symbol menu. The keyboard has the four direction keys as primary keys, essential to text editing for me. Screen: Bright enough to be usable in direct sunlight. I turn this down to conserve battery. Interface: Lightly skinned Android. The lock screen adds instant access to missed calls and messages by dragging an icon to the center. Permanent onscreen buttons for calls, texts, web, and installed applications cover most of my use. Calls: Call clarity seems decent, as does signal reception for WiFi. Battery: Easily lasts a day with moderate use, and it can last almost two if I shut off 3G and WiFi radios. Playing games for more than a couple hours will prevent the battery from lasting the day. Applications: Support for Amazon App Store out of the box. Netflix now supports this version of Android. Charging: Standard MicroUSB socket. Yay for standardsRead full review
I like the size of the phone and the functionality. However, due to the fact that it is classified as a "smart phone", I am disappointed that when sending a group message to several people, when they reply to the message the replies come back as individual messages and does not keep the conversations together as a group message. I like the phone overall and would give it a good rating!

Wow, what a great phone for the price. Has literally everything that the much more expensive Android and iPhones have except the 4G. But the 3G speeds are the same as the iPhone. Unless it's a 4G LTE model there really isn't any difference between 3G and 4G. They use HSPA and HSPA+, the same technology. It's misleading because you can have a 3G phone that actually has a faster speed then a 4G phone. Most people don't understand that. The "+" just means a higher speed, but the cheaper 4G devices are slower then the iPhone. AT&T lists the iPhone as a 4G device for this reason. So this phone has everything the iPhone has, including the mobile hotspot feature. Which means if you have a tablet you don't need an extra data plan, your phone becomes the wifi router and you use your tablet through your phone. You can talk on the phone and use your tablet at the same time. Only select phones have this feature. And of course I can't be without the slideout keyboard. I literally cannot text on an iPhone or any phone with an onscreen keyboard only. I guess I have large fingers. The iPhone doesn't let you benefit from the use of a spare battery as the battery is sealed inside the phone. It doesn't even have a microSD memory card slot. I guess that's so they can sell the 16 and 32 GB models for more money. Most Android phones come with a 32 GB card. You can get anywhere from 2 GB on up, from a couple of bucks to 15 or 20 bucks. An easy choice for me.Read full review
I was looking for an Android OS smart phone that did not require a PHD to set up and program and found it in the Pantech Crossover. After using it for a month, still think it was an excellent choice; the camera takes good quality pictures for a phone and video capture is acceptable also. An unexpected plus is the keypad is disabled when placed next to my ear; not all phones have this feature. Internet access could be faster in the WIFI mode but for accessing email, is acceptable. Battery life is shorter than advertised but can be extended by turning off the WIFI mode when not needed. Screen size is adequate to preview pictures and share.
