This was my first smartphone, and I bought it for mainly 2 reasons: I wanted an Android phone so I could use whatsApp to communicate with an international friend; and I wanted a smartphone that would work abroad so that I would only need to rent a SIM chip (much cheaper than renting an entire phone). I've used it for a solid week and a half, and it's only a bit wider (yet thinner!) than my previous phone, which was also a slide phone. The keyboard /is/ different, so there was a bit of an adjustment for that. But the Swype feature is amazingly genius and fun to use when I don't feel like using both hands to text. I'm still adjusting to the touch-screen aspect, especially with the occasional accidental brush against the home key. Every now and then there's a delay with my swivel commands, but I attribute that to it being previously owned. The resolution is clear, and the Android apps are very accommodating for mobile use of the popular sites like facebook. The only problem is that the internet browser function on the phone can't constantly handle heavily scripted sites and will sometimes crash, meaning I'd have to reload it to the page I was looking at all over again. I do wish the SYM (symbol) button was something more useful, or at least placed somewhere else rather than next to the Alt button. And maybe have some arrow keys on the keyboard itself. When I need to move the cursor to another place in the textbox, my finger doesn't always point exactly where I want it to go (I have smallish medium girly fingers). The battery doesn't last as long as I thought it would. (I'll attribute that to its previous ownership again.) It could last maybe 3 days tops in just stand-by mode, but if you use it to text or surf the internet in short bursts frequently throughout the day, it'll be a bit below half-life by bedtime. So if you're traveling without an outlet to charge it at night, you'd best bring a travel charger for the car or laptop. Outside of that, everything is extremely intuitive, and it's a neat phone to have. I'd take this over an iPhone any day!Read full review
This is a great phone for the price. It can do almost anything you would want it to do. Some of the features are a bit difficult and the battery dies pretty easily.
Bought this phone to be able to text easier. love it. Easy to read screen and good qwerty keyboard. A good phone for the money.
This was my first purchase on an unlocked cell phone. Read all the fine print. My service provider is T-mobile and this phone was blocked from T-mobile service. My fault entirely, I should have read the small print. An expensive lesson learned.
Phone is okay thought it would be a little better than the older version. A lil slow in changing screens too.
