I needed a new phone and I had seen one of my friends with an Alias a long time ago and I really liked it, because it has a QWERTY keyboard and it doubles as a flip phone and I LOVE classic flip phone, but got spoiled when I was given an ENV2 with it's QWERTY. What I dislike, was that I didn't know they had an Alias one or two, I thought the 2 was the only version of the phone and thought it was a fake when I first received it, but then I looked into it to discover I had simply gotten the wrong phone. I am getting used to it, ut the buttons are confusing as all hell when You first try using it because everything is so jumbled and everything has writing on it. It was a tad disorienting the first day. I believe I will use it for a while until I break it or get an Alias 2, because thats what I wanted to begin withRead full review
This phone is flexible. I had one about a year ago and elected to get the same one for my 10 year old son. The dual flip-open screens make it fun yet functional. The dual flip-open feature is sort of problematic when taking pictures but it does not prevent taking pictures. The buttons are also smaller than most other cell phones, but for a 10 y.o. it is perfect. Overall we are pleased and my son says it is "Awesome!"
The only reason this phone doesn't get a perfect 5 across the board is that it doesn't have all the features of the newer phones out there. But the call quality is excellent and is user friendly. It is almost to bad that the phone didn't come out with an alias 3 version. I have purchased this style of phone 2 other times and I can honestly say where others would lose service and drop calls, I wouldn't. The only reason I replaced these phone was to give my daughter a new phone. This phone is not for the app lover though
3 stars bc I’ve had this same model phone for like 20 years and i love it. This particular replacement phone did text but did not have audio for calls. Returning the item sadly. Won’t be able to use it soon anyway as the 1g network will soon be obsolete.

I bought my first Alias 5 years ago. I love this phone! I upgraded recently, and got what was the best avail., that is not a smart phone. The only problem I had with my Alias was the camera didn't work right.. other than that, for a phone that has a 2 way hinge, its durable! Its slim and easy to use, read and has all the features a talk/text phone needs. I bought 2. I have my newest upgrade phone as a 2nd back-up if needed! If you find something you like, get it while you can!
