After spending some good amount of time with this phone I can say that my experience with it has been mostly positive. It is a solid performing, slick looking budget friendly device that has some nice features for the price. It is far from perfect but overall offers more than what you would normally get from other devices at this price point. The only real issue with it is the battery life is a little below average. That said there are a few things you can do to get a little more life out of it. One thing is to charge the battery for about 20-30 minutes after it reaches 100% since there seems to be a little difference in the displayed battery life and the actual remaining life. I found this out by testing a few times and it lasted longer this way. Another minor battery glitch I noticed is when turning off and back on the displayed battery drops about 10-15% lower than when you had it on. I know this is a glitch because the battery wont go lower unless you use it for quite a bit longer ( aparently this is when it actually reaches the displayed remaining percent). Other ways to improve battery life are to disconnect all wireless signals (wifi, bluetooth, data network, GPS) when not in use, keep the screen at lowest brightness and make sure to kill all apps when not in use. Also try using a dark colored non-live wallpaper as background and set widgets to update manually only. Another option would be to purchase a Mugen extended battery, but I can't say if it improves too much since I don't own one and have my doubts as the capacity is 1800MaH vs the original's 1680MaH so it may not make much a diferrence. Moving on, like I said before, everything else on the Pantech Burst is good considering the price point on it and should be enough to satisfy the consumers that want a feature rich phone but don't want to sacrifice their wallets.Read full review
I originally wanted a device that had a front facing camera. I feel in love with the samsung droid charge but sadly it wasnt one of the phones that could be easily flashed to the page plus network and i looked around for another phone and the pantech burst was my 3rd option. Pantech burst was purchased dirt cheap and packed with multiple features i love this device; i've downloaded multiple games and other applications and i still have a reasonable amount of space left unlike with my HTC i would have to often delete apps to make space for sms and mms. The front facing camera and the rear cameras SUCK!!! They could use a boost of improvements but for 80 buck im not complaining!
I bought this product and it use one because it offers great features as compare to other phones such as iphone, samsung galaxy and HTC. This phone perform great tasks which other great phone do not have. The only fall of this phone is the battery life but i guess it because several apps are running. In all this is a great phone. I have the black color which i still use for almost 2years and find difficult to exchange for other phone. I really love it.
The phone does what it says. I used my t-mobile sim card and I didn't have any problems making phone calls or taking them. The speakers aren't the best but the speed of the phone is good and it currently has an Android update for ICS. I wish they used a bigger battery for this phone. The 4" screen size is good and the display is pretty good also. If you can get this phone for $100, then you won't be disappointed.
This phone? This phone is a BEAST. After having troubles with my iPhone 3gs last year, I got the HTC Aria. I was primarily using it as a transition phone until I could get enough money to by a cheap iPhone 4. However I ended up falling in love with my little Aria and the Android OS. I crossed over and became Team Android ever since. However my Aria couldn't handle everything I wanted it to, the screen was cracked, and I needed a new phone. After looking on eBay for a bout a month the Pantech Burst randomly showed up. At first I was like . . . Pantech? Who is that? Pshh, next. But when I checked out the phone, its specs, and a few reviews on it, I kind of wanted to buy it. So after thinking it over I did. I spend 74.99 dollars on it (it was cheaper than my HTC Aria), and it was the best 74.99 dollars I've spent. The Burst is fast. It might not be as speedier as newer phones but it gets the job done. It was two cameras (front & back) and it takes pretty decent pictures along with great video. The sound on it to me is great. I've read a few reviews where people didn't like the call quality but for me it was loud and good. I'm not keen on Pantech's skin over ICS but installing Go Launcher and a few other Go apps from the Playstore cleared that up for me in no time. This phone is just great. If you want to by a cheap phone for your kid or even yourself, this phone is the one. You get more that what you pay for and yeah. Its awesome :)Read full review
