I've had my Nokia N70 for almost a year and I haven't had a problem yet! Visually, it's an upgraded 6680. It has most of the same features, if not better ones, too and is a ighly capable phone. Wether you need to SMS/MMS/Email/use the internet, this phone can really do it all! I've had limited succes with the last two due to operating costs, but I know they work! making a call is easy and the standard nokia interface works really well. The inbuilt music and video players are a nice touch and do their jobs as well as you'd expect. It also comes with pdf/ms word/ms powerpoint readers which are handy for business users. I actually made use of the pdf reader to proof read work for a friend and it worked great. text and images were clear. i had to constantly scroll to fit it on to the screen, but this was a minor issue for me. The camera is great, but not excellent. If there isn't enough light the quality can suffer, which is expected, but rather than being dark it gets blotchy. if you can get enough light, then the camera works a charm! the video capture is good too, much better than i've experienced on other phones. Picture messages are easy enough and you can send multiple slides (up to 100kb worth) of pictures, text, video and sounds, but this isn't always enough. now, this isn't the phone's fault, but the N70 lets you make full use of the available space! The keys on the phone are an acceptable size, but i've seen a few people struggle with their size. the video calling feature is decent enough. I don't know many others with video phones so it's hard to judge proplery, but it's worked seemlessly when i've been able to try it. the photo editor has the few features you now expect but it doesn't excell in that area. the video editor is a nice touch and allows you to compress videos enough for MMSing. the standby battery life is quite good, but during usage the life can decrease dramatically - nokia's only real downfall for me over the last 2 or 3 years. overall, i've loved using the nokia N70. it's a reliable phone and has everything you could possibly need.Read full review
N70 appears to be the upgrade from the 6680. The Nokia N70 is a high-powered multimedia phone. Small and light, the Nokia is designed for entertainment on the go. The Nokia N70 is capable of playing streaming media from the Internet, or you can swap media files with your friends. Sending multimedia e-mails is a breeze, so you can show your friends and family your exciting new pictures or videos right away. Advanced digital camera controls such as 20x digital zoom, color and brightness and adjustments, flash settings, and photo-format features for a variety of situations means that this phone is a must-have for those who want the ability to quickly and easily take high-quality digital photos and videos. The N70’s Bluetooth and USB compatibility will be big hits with users who want to connect their phone to other devices such as PCs and printers. You can print directly from the phone—without the use of a PC. The phone’s included applications make it easy to connect to a printer and crop the photo just how you want it. And moving video from your phone to a PC (or vice-versa!) has never been more flexible. Like most Nokia phones, ease of use is a top priority. Buttons are reserved for instant multimedia access as well as camera shutter functions. Intuitive menus make switching from text messaging to video shoots a snap. The camera function is activated with the mere slip of a slide cover, which works like today’s top digital cameras to reveal the viewfinder and lens. While the handy Internet access can connect you with the information you need to get out of lots of difficult situations—such as finding your way down the right country road or to that new restaurant—one thing this feature-packed phone doesn’t have is a GPS. Also missing is infrared connectivity, although the N70 more than makes up for it with its high speed USB and Bluetooth ports. The main features of the Nokia N70: 2 megapixel camera (20x digital zoom) Second VGA camera (2x digital zoom) Two-way video calling XHTML/HTML browser MP3 and visual radio capability Bluetooth Wireless and USB 2.0 connectivity Image editing and printer software Interphone data transfer Send and receive e-mail Technical Specifications of the Nokia N70: Weight: 126 g Dimensions: 10.88cm x 5.3cm x 2.4cm Display: 262,144 colors, 176x208 pixels, 1.5m integrated flash 3.5 hours talk time 11-day standby charge MP3 ringtones 30 MB internal memory for multimedia files and phone data 64 MB MMC Expandable game library The features that the Nokia N70 is missing: Infrared connectivity Wi-Fi capability Global Positioning SystemRead full review
I had this phone for about 3 months before i got bored of it and upgraded. this phone is great. when i first saw it on paper before it was released i was set. i used the phone for a while. one of things that i noticed about this phone is that it is slow navigating around the os. the camera, even though it is 2 MP, is not that great and the front camera which is VGA which is meant for video calling is obviously not that great either. this phone can pack a punch but for the money, you can get the older but also very good 66 series nokias.
Its a great phone my bro owns it and i own the 6680 nokia in general is the best durable phone out there thats all we buy and most of europe and the middle east does too! it has two cameras one in the front the other in the back it you can talk on it for about 3.5 hours till the battery needs to be recharcged thats if your talking on it constantly!! all in all its a really good phone and its wirth its price and more!!
it's weard that a new phone like this is slower than the older versions. i had a 6630 and 6600 thay perform faster than this one nokia added extra stuff and maybe thay didn't upgrade the proccesor. oh ya and thay took the smooth zoom out that was in the 6630 if you want a better video go with this one if you don't mind that then take a look at nokia 6630 very nice phone and takes the same quality pic's. but there is a big big difrent n70's vedio is WAAAY better
