I bought this phone for my Mother in law to replace the old Motorola she had. She liked her old one but it stopped charging so this was a good inexpensive way to upgrade her phone. She likes it bc it is easy to use, and it's simple. She uses the phone primarily for calls, but she is learning to text, too. It has plenty of memory for what few pictures she has on it, and we can select different ringtones for her contacts so she doesn't have to get her glasses out to see who's calling. I used to have a Motorola myself, and I had the same problem that she had with her old one, it stopped charging. I don't know if it is a coincidence or if this is a problem with Motorola phones, but for the price it's worth trying. Other than that, we both liked our Motorolas. If they came out with a Smart Phone comparable to the Iphone I would definitely try it.Read full review
A simple but user friendly flip phone with features only those less than tech savy consumers can appreciate. There are several models of the popular but now outdated RAZR phone. I've had two and can appreciate their ability to take abuse. The cat knocked my first one on the concrete floor breaking the front display. The phone still operated but I optioned to use the insurance to replace it. Because the RAZR is no longer available I took what they offered as a "replacement". The replacement may have been a nice phone but it's like breaking in a new pair of shoes so I returned it and bought a used RAZR on eBay for less than $20. Some day I may get a Droid or Smartphone but my RAZR is still on the job for now.
I bought this phone because I had one already and liked it. It's a sturdy little consumer-friendly, fold-phone that feels good in my hand, has a decent display, clear read-out & speaker, as well as camera, clock, calculator, etc., was apparently built for the military, so it is tough and dependable. I don't use it on the net, but it will do that, too. I thought I had a problem with my first one. I had a replacement policy that I had paid into for years. (The company made out like a bandit!) The insurance company insisted on providing a different make phone with features I did not need or want & a learning curve that I did not have time for. Finding that the problem I was having was with the hands-free device I had added to it, and not the phone, I sent the replacement back, canceled the replacement policy, & purchased this phone as back-up, insurance against the day when something is really wrong with the first one. All I had to do was charge it, batteries included, and pop in my SIM card. Oh, also choose features that are related to the hardware and not on SIM.. I have used it for more than it's month's warranty with no problems other than the choice of rings, for some reason, is not as broad as on the other phone. For people who are concerned about style, this phone is not particularly stylish. It's just an easy, intuitive phone that works really well and is probably as close to indestructible as is made. Since it is an older model, it was also very affordable.Read full review
I droped my cell phone in the pond and it stopped working so I wanted to get an inexpensive replacement. Here's what I like: 1) The battery power lasts a lot longer than the other cell phone I had. I would say about a week since I don't use it much. 2) I like the time screen on the cover 3) I like the clamshell design 4) The price was right for an inexpensive replacement phone -- I'm all in all, very happy with it. Here's what I don't like: 1) It beeps for some reasn at times, even when the battery isnt low. I haven't figured out why. 2) I don't like the black color -- it's too hard to find. 3) Dialing out is a little strange now. Smehow I got into a mode only calls #s I've called in the past but strange things are always happening to all my cell phones.
Small, compact and has great reception. Simple operation with an easy to use menu. Great hands free options like blue tooth, speaker phone and headset. Don't use texting or internet options on the phone. Camera is a point and shoot with limited pixel, but adequate when you need a camera in an emergency. Lots of features for a little phone. Bought this phone to replace one which ate batteries and could not hold a battery charge very long. Dislikes: Contact me in a year to see how this phone rates.
