I have been thoroughly impressed with my Samsung ATIV S Neo. This phone blows the socks off any other phone I've owned. The front-facing camera, fast data connection, and customization features truly make it one of the best after-market Windows Phone 8.x devices on the market, hands down. I like that the phone can be tethered as well, just in case you don't want to use internet sharing, and require dial-up for a VPN. The phone packs so much punch for a smaller than average form factor as well. I can get everything done I need to on this phone, even with the less selection of apps in the Windows Store. They've made strides so it's hardly noticeable anymore anyway. Awesome investment!

Even though this is an older Windows Phone based on the Android Samsung Galaxy S3, you wouldn't be able to tell looking at it. It has a more premium feel over its Android counterpart with the chrome surround (and a better metal back for some versions of this phone), and still feels snappy being on Windows Phone 8. The built on this phone is actually remarkably great considering the reputation Samsung has with plastic parts. It looks and feels like a premium device. The camera is more than decent (maybe just a little lower level than PureViews) and you get the usual feature set of modern day smartphones, including NFC (no wireless charging though). The 4.8" AMOLED screen is also a beaut, especially considering it's just a tad larger than Nokia phones at a similar price point (usually 4.5" or 4.7".. or much smaller). And yes, Nokia has got a good grip over WP devices, having better built usually, more models, and a selection of Nokia only apps. However, the most useful apps in the Nokia collection (Here Maps and Drive+) are available on all WP devices so you can get them here on the Samsung as well. It is also currently (Sept 2014) running Windows Phone 8 while most WP phones out there are already running on or soon to get the (massive) 8.1 update. The large extra feature set in 8.1 really does make a difference (I also own a Nokia 1020, 1320, 1520, 620). The official update (and hopefully Windows 10 much later on) is rumored to be available soon for the Samsung too, so fingers crossed. (the low end Lumia 620 has already gotten it jeez! And there are ways of getting the update now, but the general consensus is a firmware update is need to make things like the camera work perfectly.. so bugs are present) Considering it all, it really is a bargain for what you get. It's just a little more money than a 620 (or any other low-mid tier WP phone) but you get last gen's top of the line specs (and performance that is much better than most Android phones now that are not flagship devices). Being a Windows Phone, it's already lesser known, but being a Samsung Windows Phone, it's even more obscure... but that's why the bargain I reckon! Get them while they're cheap and available, and definitely hunt them down after the 8.1 update! (I'll update the review when it's available)Read full review
It's a shame that Windows and Samsung have diverted. The Samsung product line is venerable, but the combination of Windows with Samsung quality was a hit. These days, eBay is the only place to find these phones, the last of a now dead breed. Get them while you can. If you're upgrading from a WP7 device you will be glad that the WP8 I187 is readily upgraded to WP8.1 and, as far as I understand, will also receive the WP10 upgrade in due time. Large, clear screen - not a Super AMOLED like my old Focus - but not bad at all. My used phone was clearly used plenty, yet all buttons and plugs are still functioning well. If you are a Windows Phone fan, and also like the Samsung product line, you will be glad that this final version was made and I anticipate years of keeping up with the most current apps with the features on this device. Pardon my generic review, but I do want people to know that there is still a strong option for Samsung WP devices. Good Luck!Read full review
I love the windows phone. My first smart phone was android. I ruined it in the washer still under contract. I went and replaced it with a Nokia 520. I purchased this Samsung because it was handsome and I can easily change out the battery. I should by a spare but I still have the Nokia and Windows 10 is coming. This is a great phone and has a slot for a mini SD card to store video pics and more.
