I bought the E70 about 4 months ago. I wanted something with the QWERTY keyboard for texting, emails, web browsing and other text related applications. Unlike the other phones offered by Cingular at the time, it also offered WIFI connectivity. The first one that I purchased was from China and it had coverage problems because it did not have all of the Cingular frequencies available. I ended up buying one directly from Nokia here in the US and it has worked splendidly. I have friends who have the WINCE Cingular 6125 and have had nothing but problems. The E70 with its Symbian OS has worked spledidly. It can be a little slow going from application to application. The latest firmware upgrade made it a little better but it still is not as fast as you would like to see it. The messaging, including the email client works terrific. Once it is set up it is a great Blackberry alternative, especially for those that do not have a large IT department supporting it. Google also offers a mail client that runs on the phone, as well as a map application. I have not purchased the GPS blue tooth appliance available for the phone yet. Battery life is great and the bluetooth connectivity has been rock solid.Read full review
This phone has been a big hit in Europe, where people drool over the features and qwerty keyboard - it has a great little camera, an MP3 player, a pull email ability and a mini-internet browser. The phone is fully 3G running off a Symbian 60 OS and of course features the reliability of Nokia. You won't find this phone new in the US anymore - Nokia US has discontinued it, but Nokia Europe offers it, and it is offered in most other places in the world. Make sure you get 2nd generation and also update the software when you get it...but otherwise happy browsing and texting!
1st i would like to say that Nokia's phones are the best,i have tried defferent kinds but they are nothing in front of nokia.the amazing thing in this phone that it's got a keyboured ,and you can use the internat wireless by this phone.the thing i didn't like in this phone that its camera 2 mega pixels,i wish if it was more.and there is another thing that there is no plash light for the night pictures, but still the pictures are pefect and the vedio quality is fantastic.i decide to buy it because it's has a keyboured and a good camera.i love this phone it's an amazing phone, and by the way it's not that expensive. So I had the previous version of this phone, that I loved. I finally was able to get the next one up(Nokia E70). Since it is not sold in the US, I was able to get this one here and it works great. I'll admit that it is a little outdated, and larger than most phones nowadays, but it still gets the job done. The phone is great and the pictures are amazing. No regrets on purchasing this Nokia.
The flip open keyboard is awesome. You have larger keys that are easier to text/type with than any other phone. I am severely disappointed that Nokia stopped making this phone recently since I love it and am going to purchase a second one while they're still available just to have when my current one wears out.
