Since 1984 Hasbro’s Transformers have been providing endless hours of creative play for young children with big imaginations. These specially equipped robots hail from the planet Cybertron. From Autobots to Decepticons, Hasbro has introduced a number of different characters in the Transformers story line over the decades. With Optimus Prime at the helm, the Autobots spend their days battling the Decepticons in a never-ending battle for dominance over the planet. Sentinel Prime was the predecessor of Optimus Prime in this role. Ultra Magnus is one of Optimus Prime’s closest and most valued lieutenants. This Hasbro Transformers Animated Play Set features Sunstorm versus Autobot Ratchet. These detailed action figures are sure to inspire hours of creative play for young and old alike. With the power to melt down the metal of any nearby robots, Sunstorm is a force to be reckoned with. Intimidating though he is, the fierce Sunstorm has a bot to battle. That courageous Autobot is none other than Ratchet. He is a first-generation Transformer and is an all-time favorite for Hasbro Transformers fans. He played a chief role in the early days of the series as the medic for the Autobots. He helps battle against Decepticons, including Skywarp, Thundercracker, and Megatron. In robot mode, this fun Hasbro Sunstorm figure features cool, hidden arm lasers and flip down middle launchers. Two firing missles keep him ready to take care of business when he’s in fighter jet mode. The best part is that with the simple touch of a button, this toy conveniently converts from one play mode to another without the hassle of a complicated transformation process. These toys can actually help your child develop motor skills while also providing the perfect outlet for imaginative playtime. This particular set is recommended for children ages five and above. To be clear, Sunstorm is a sort of remake of the original Decepticons Starscream. While these are two separate characters in the Transformers history, Sunstorm did retain many of the features of the original Starscream character. The colors of these two figures differ, but the sculpt of the two Transformers is nearly identical. The blue and purple areas of Starscream have been replaced with the bright orange color on Sunstorm. Watch your child recreate the epic battle for peace between these two alien robots from the distant world of Cybertron. Ratchet and Sunstorm are made with all the detail and transforming fun that Hasbro has become known for.
