Product Great, Installer So-So. The product works perfectly. I ordered a pair of these replacement arms. I installed them myself. I really did not want to go through replacing the entire attic door. I read and reread the directions, youtube and manufacturers directions. I am pretty handy, I don't build things but I can swap out replacement parts fairly well. I DID NOT FOLLOW the directions. I opted to replace one side and then the other because I was short a helper. My original parts did have the rivets and not a screw. That got me worried. I did drill out the rivets. One side went well, the other I butchered. Even so, the long lag bolt is big enough and long enough to cover my mistake. Again, I completely left one original side intact while I removed and installed the other. Finished one, then moved to the other side. It worked for me. The hardest part was leaning over my big gut in the attic while I tried with one hand to pull and attach the spring to the arm in the little hole. Lets' just say I got it done. I won't win style points for the method but I go the springs in and it works great. I saved a ton of money and to my wife, I performed a miracle. Boom.Read full review

I have a Warner pull down attic stairs in my garage since 1993. Only used about a dozen times a year. My wife wanted to bring down our Easter decorations when she had an issue with our original hinge bending. I thought I had a major stair replacement on my hands. Did some research and found this replacement part. Part is an OEM part which has been redesigned in shape and material. The procedure was simple and quick. Instruction included and hardware. Two come in kit but you can replace one if you like. They look different but work. Saved me a lot of time and work. Yes it is about half the cost of a new stair but well worth it if your stairs are in good shape.

Seems a little pricey, but better than replacing the whole set of attic stairs, so I'm pretty happy with it. Installation with the included hardware was straightforward, and relatively quick and easy. They're a little flimsy but no worse than the original (which had to be replaced when they bent)

I was a little concerned that the physical appearance of the product did not look identical to the original, but after communication with Wernet, and installing the bracket, it works great. Much cheaper and easier than replacing the entire ladder assembly.

Easier than I thought it was just to replace the hardware. My ladder was still in like new shape- just someone was not careful lifting the ladder-renters. Better than replacing, cost was more than fare, now my ladder is like new, Thnx. Bud
