Virtual reality is in its infancy, so all the vr apps and vr games loose their novelty and excitement pretty quick ( a few days). The graphics in the VR games are light years behind those on the PC and the gaming platforms. Consequently, the VR side is not impressive, but that's true for any standalone VR headset, from any brand at this time However, the Mirage Solo is amazing as a very affordable home.theater with HUGE screens. Netflix VR and 2D streaming apps look gorgeous in the VR headset. With the VERY important advantage that movies. tv series and shows can be watched laying down horizontally and looking to the ceiling, which is very very comfortable . The Netlix screen can be moved and placed where it is the most comfortable to watch. Same thing for the 2D streaming apps, when used with VLC player (which can also download subtitles for any language from the Internet). I recommend this affordable vr headset for those who need a virtual home theater with very large screens to enjoy while laying down. (The lens should be warmed up with a hair dryer before using, so they don't fog.)Read full review

Unique among the lower-priced Android 6DoF headsets because you can access many of the features of a regular Android phone in your own Unity projects, including the ability to view (although not save) the live camera feed. Non-developers will probably prefer the much larger software libraries of another headset.

This is very close to being a great VR headset, but there are some head scratching omissions that make this hard to recommend. First of all, this headset has almost zero ventilation which causes the lenses to fog up in a very short period of time. Another is the lack of integrated speaker. You can, however, use the included earbuds or your own headphones. Besides that, the Google VR platform that this uses is nicely polished, but limited in it's apps and games. FOr similar functionality, the Oculus Go is a better option.

I purchased the Mirage Solo hoping to do indoor cycling VR. Using the Sufferfest app unfortunately I came upon stumbling block that they don’t have an app in google play store. I would have to figure out how to download one of their subsidiary companies licensed to show their videos. I t turned out to be a real bummer! Maybe someone can suggest alternative in using Mirage Solo, during the winter season. However, I enjoy the possibilities of using the Mirage Solo for other activities. Thank You, H. Snuggs

This is a product akin to the oculus go in it's FOV but the resolution is slightly better. The oculus go has built in audio so you need a pair of headphones with the mirage (much better than using the supplied earbuds IMO). The mirage has inside out tracking using the low rez cams on the front, that means 6DOF as opposed to 3DOF with th go, but because it only has 1 controller (there are third parties selling 2 controllers) it is more lie 3 and a half DOF...
