This book is about the investigation team of Bernie and Chet. Chet, the second member of the team is a german shepherd who belongs to Bernie and the story is told through his thoughts. The book begins with Bernie being sought out by a woman to find her missing daughter, she soon realizes that Chet is a part of Bernies team and will come to play a key role in the search. There is a great deal of mystery and suspence as the pair work to find the missing or girl. The Russian mob will come into play, as well as car chases, kidnappings, and near death experiences. There is also a great deal of humor as the attention span of a dog can sometimes be short. Unrealated scents such as a chip, hotdog or cat can sometimes distract Chet from the case momentarily. This is such a well written story that you don't feel like your reading a cute book written by a talking dog. It's a good mystery that just happens to be told through the thoughts of a german shepherd. It's really a great read and I hope there will be more Bernie and Chet Mysteries to come!Read full review
Heard about this author and series of books from a friend. Couldn't pass it up on ebay. Loved the book being from the dog's point of view. Being a volunteer dog trainer at my local animal shelter, I found it hilarious to read because that's exactly how I think the dog's process their information...Already got the next book in the series and will start reading that one in about a week. I just know I've got more grins, snickers, and laughs coming my way. Chet's da man...er dog!
I love the Chet and Bernie series of novels and Dog On It did not disappoint followers of this team. I would recommend this novel to all dog and mystery lovers. Who can resist reading a book narrated by a dog ? Seeing the story unfold from Chet’s point of view is amusing and enlightening and certainly never dull.

I love this book and have bought several copies for friends and relatives. This writer completely captures the way I imagine a dog would think. Chet, an almost K-9 police dog, assists Bernie Little in his Little Detective Agency. It's a quick read. Better yet, pick it up anytime, open to any page, read a few lines, and get a chuckle. The book really lifted my spirits and I felt good after reading it. I can't wait until Quinn's new book comes in the mail.
Very much enjoyed and had difficulty putting it down. Funny and love the dog telling the story.
