Great little android phone. I have 2 of them on the Straight Talk plan using Verizon network. They were free with purchase of airtime thru Straight Talk's website. Also , they DO come with a 1 year warranty. Even my 2 refurbs have a 1 year warranty. I haven't experienced any problems with their customer service either. And I don't work for Walmart or Straight Talk. I would recommend this phone to anyone looking to save a few on their phone bill without sacrificing features. Don't let a bad review sway your decision , for the price it's worth a try. Also try to get the CDMA version for Verizon's network. Way better service in my opinion. No spotty coverage yet for me. Battery life is somewhat shorter but not a major issue.
This is my second Proclaim. I love it.It's easy to use great for games.(8ball pool, Dragon Story, solitaire & word games) I like the ease of customizing it to my likes. Wallpaper ringtone & contacts etc.Wish screen were larger. Only problem with the first one was the charge port stopped working. Not repairable but I solved it by buying a couple 2050 mAh batteries with a dock charger. Then I lost my phone. I bought another on Ebay. It's been great & I just pop in a charged battery when needed. You can't go wrong.
I'm very hard on things. Esp. Anything I used daily. I live in rural area & spend a large amount of time hiking bike riding or walking in woods, fields, & along gravel roads in ALL weather. And I collect rocks. Maybe you can imagine all the bending over & lugging giant rocks I have no business budging and how my phone would get smooched, dropped, fall out of breast pockets & even left in wild fieldd during two days of rain-storms before I found it. The screen has never even cracked (noteven after tumbling out onto pavement while speeding along on my bike) The body shows wear but nothing that tells the true neglect it's lived through. My one complaint: battery blows. Even replacement batteries fail. I ended up stealing smaller batt from old flip phone and rolling 2 pieces of elect tape to keep it wedged in place. Compared to my newer phone, this is far better menu/ navigation/ organising featurs and much better at picking up internet access and much more. Bought it used from eBay in 2012 or 13 for just $50 & have gotten 4 times that back! They are actually don't make phones like this as they used to!Read full review

So you badly wanted a smart phone with unlimited $45 Straight Talk everything, working on Verizon network? Here is what you gonna get. Samsung has a stock of outdated resistive screen phones running on outdated and buggy Gingerbread. Nobody wants this yesterday's stuff. So, instead of discarding these phones, Samsung dumps them for next to nothing to Straight Talk without any manufacturer's warranty or support. Straight Talk marks them up and sells them to customers eager to take advantage of their money-saving plan. To boost sales, a flood of shill rave reviews is posted on Wal-Mart site and elsewhere. Most of the phones will probably last for 15 days. If yours breaks down later, you cannot return it to the store, and Samsung will not do anything for you, too. Your only recourse will be Straight Talk customer service, which is purposely designed to frustrate you. You will wait for hours for a service rep from India who you won't be able to communicate with due to accent problems. You will be repeatedly offered fixes that don't work, or, in the case you purchased extended warranty, replacement phones that will have same problems. You will get neither your phone money back, nor refund for the $45 card you were unable to use due to phone's defect. Verizon prepaid coverage is not as good as their subscription coverage. Unlimited data is not actually unlimited - it is choked by Verizon to 100 mb/day 2 gb/month.Read full review
The battery life is about 11hrs. Just not enough, I reduced brightness, display, animation, etc and still there has not been great improvement in battery time. However to be fair this phone was much more used then described. I have ordered a replacement battery to see if there is an improvement in function. I really do hope so. Overall I like the phone's function.
