After reading other reviews it is obvious that some people don't know how to use this product. DO NOT PUT BREAD IN IT WITHOUT THE PLASTIC BAG. It will go stale. The holes in the bottom are there so air can escape when you put the bread(in the plastic bag) into the Bread Buddy. Push it in easy until it doesn't want to go more then stop. Don't keep pushing and smash the bread. Remove tie wrap to open bag. It should easily go in now. Stop when top slice is even with the top of the Bread Buddy. Pull excess plastic bag down over the outside of the bread Buddy. Put the lid on and you are done. As you remove bread pull the plastic down on the outside and the next slice will be at the top. Otherwise you would have to reach in and keep going farther in to get a slice. Also it keeps a minimum of air in with the bread......helping it stay fresh. That's all there is to it. This thing is ingenious and works great.Read full review

There are holes in the bottom of the box, so this doesn’t work for me. Anything that’s not sealed will attract ants. Otherwise, the quality is nice and I would have really enjoyed this, but I don’t leave unsealed food in my cupboards.
