Was looking for a low cost, 3D capable camera for use in extemporaneous situations. This fills that need. The video looks good, surprised that the files are "side by side" which makes it easy to edit. The downside is that this camera was manufactured so long ago that Sony no longer will permit registration and I doubt that any warranty will apply. In dealing with Sony products I have never had to be concern with warranty due to their superior construction (you will pay more for Sony for good reason). I have had for years a 2D version of this item and have not experienced any problems. The only program I have found which will produce Blu-Ray burnable files is Cyberlink. Much to my delight I find I can mix MVC and these files in the same timeline.

I bought one of these cameras "sight unseen" just to check it out. I was amazed by the quality. OK, so its not a full-blown camcorder. But it does shoot very good video with enough light, the one on the camera being a bit worthless, but since it has a tripod mount, a small led light rig would do. The images are full 1080/HD. Since the camera is smaller than a phone, you can take it anywhere, and shoot high quality 2D and especially 3D HD video and stills. OK, so really loud music is rough on the tiny mike, but it is not distorted. I ran out of battery once (I'll get a back-up unit), but not out of memory (that you would have to download). I have a LG Cinema-3D monitor, and the videos and pictures look great! So guess what? I bought a second camera! Got great deals on both.
I don't know the battery life yet because I just got it but the Video quality seem to be okay not to bad and it worth for $ under $120 for the used one.
The product meets advertised. pros: portable 3d, hdmi, USB built in, good 3d effect. Cons: No optical zoom, no touch screen, small lcd screen, small resolution movies in 3D for reproduction on large LCD TVS full hd. I recommend to the blogger's
Love my 3d Sony and got great deal on it. It works great as I have recorded in 3d and watched it back on 3d. Works like it was advertised. If you have 3d tv get it, and if you don't , still get it as it records 1080p and just invades you do end up with 3d tv later on. I recommend it to anyone.
