My vet recommended this type of item for my dog who doesn't do good around the 4th of July. It doesn't help then but over all he is better during regular life type stuff. He is not as scared and seems to be hiding less then he was before it's use. Just wish it would help with the 4th fireworks but I have not found anything to help him with that but he does seem to be good the rest of the time. When I got a new pup last year he was jumpy and nerve but then I put a plug-in in and he has been good since then. I notice when it runs out and I miss it both dogs get nervous and weird acting then I look and sure enough its run out so something is happing when I use it so I just keep it going all the time unless I forget to check once in a while.
