Well made and versatile with its rotating ball head. The knob on the side for holding the head in a secure position is just the right size and easy to adjust and tighten. Fits well on my Manfrotto monopod.

I bough this ball-head to achieve the best lightweight compromise together to my new Sirui T-025x Travel Tripod (about 600g all together), to be used with my NEX-7 mirror less camera (max weight with tele-lenses 1 kg). Although very simple (no quick release, no level,..) the Giotto Mini ball-head (weighting 1 hg) covers my needs for light traveling. The original Sirui ball-head is superior in smoothness, build quality and flexibility, but it has double weigh: therefore I will use it in less critical situations. The price of the Giotto ball-head is also quite convenient, but I could not find a seller in EU, thus the final cost was higher due to mailing costs.
Super basic ball head. Smaller than it looks. I can't use it and will probably re-sell it. Not sure what anyone would use it for because of it's small size except maybe a GoPro or small camera like that....

The small Giottos ball head works well for what it's designed for. It's great for small cameras like GoPro, or some mirrorless cams. Also good for flash units. The head is smooth and well machined in comparison to most inexpensive mini ball heads.

This is a very small ball head (as described) that is perfect for small cameras (i.e. Sony RX 100) or possibly the better cell phone cameras where a tripod is required. I bought this particular model of several mini-Giottos because of the added flexibility of the 360 degree locking collar at the top.
