I disagree completely with the previous rating/review submitted for these bass strings. I found my self in a particular situation that demended I switch over to some lighter guage bass strings to reduce tension on a neck that had some anomalies to it. I did my home work and looked at tension charts to see what strings would be balanced and still be at pitch on a six string bass I own. No I am not using these strings as they were intended. I had to think "outside the box" as they say. These strings are exactly 'just what the doctor ordered" and they greatly reduce tension, and along with some careful fret dressing, I have a six string bass that is vastly improved and plays much better than form the factory! The .110 is my low B, .085, .065. are my low E and A respectively and substituted a .050 over the .045 as the D string. The G string is a .035 and the high C is a .025. If these sound like "ultralight guage" strings then, I'd guess I'd hafta say you're right. The bass now demands a soft touch and sounds very well when my rig is turned way up. Success indeed!!!
