I've owned Dell's for a long time. I am using a Dell Inspiron 5520, which I like. The sound on my HP *7 is way better but I usually have headsets on, so that sound is great. Dell's have always been dependable, or at least the one's I've purchased. My current Laptop replaced my Dell D630, which was great & still is. I have it in my computer room & whenever anyone in the family is in need of a Laptop while waiting for me to repair their's, or if they're waiting to get a new one, they'll use that one. The reason I'm going to grab one of these is well, I like Dell's & this model has been on the buy list for a while. As for the Windows 10 hype, it's okay but I'll pull the hard drive out & put in a SSD with windows 7 Pro on it. 7 Pro works just fine for me & as long as it's supported, or I pickup gaming, I'll stick with it. As for the person who has the review about windows 10 & no excel or word on it, that's because it's Microsoft Office & those are Office apps. I download my Office 2010 version anyways, so i'm good there, or I'll get a key or app on eBay. So if you're looking for a dependable Laptop, the Dell E5430 is a great one to get. It has 2 USB-3.0 ports on the left, plus a USB-2.0 on the right side, as most Dell's do have. As for the chargers, they still use those 7.5mm plugs, which are durable, just like the jack inside the Laptop. I'm hoping the sound is better on the 5430, so I can sell that HP G7.
