I’ve been in the graphic industry for 20 years and I’ve used a wide range of tools- even 2017 and 2018 machines don’t have what the Vaio Z Canvas has. It was made so future forward that it’s still like a new machine in 2018. That’s crazy engineering and innovation. Simply the best windows portable I’ve ever tested. Important features, excellent IO and ports. One of the best displays you can find or will see on a portable with its 95% adobe RGB spectrum. Wireless keyboard which needs no pairing and just works. Absolutely beautiful build and design. The best kickstand ever done- smart choices like the rubber stoppers on the stand and feet on the keyboard. 47W quad core power that vastly outperforms the 2017 Surface Pro yet machine doesn’t get hot or warm. Excellent cooling system. The old Iris Pro 5200 is still much more powerful than HD620- it’s the closest to discrete intel made. Long all iPad style battery life even when working heavy. The Vaio Z Canvas is a dream machine for a creative pro. Vaio helped define the detachable and two in one category. They laid the foundation for what a proper tool for a creator should be. True innovation and one of a kind engineering. I truly hope they bring out a new version of the Z Canvas soon- it would be crazy for them not to. They got it right.Read full review

I rarely write reviews, but I love my Vaio Z Canvas. It's light, battery life is great, at first it was awkward to not have the keyboard attached but now I place the tablet on my coffee table and time on my lap and it is instantaneous, no lag and actually easier on my eyes. The pen feature on the table has allowed even my 8 year old daughter to produce so incredible bits of drawing, painting and art with no experience. I was skeptical at first, especially for the deal I got but I'm glad I went with this laptop/tablet combo.

The best, fastest 2:1 laptop. A quad core 4th generation Haswell processor makes this a very fast computer, way faster than Microsoft surface pro 4 or Lenovo X-1 Yoga, which are 6th generation low voltage duo core processors. Excellent screen, digital pen works excellently. The negative is the weight as a tablet (2.67 pounds), Surface pro is about a pound. Lenovo total weight is 2.8 pounds as the keyboard does not detach. The cost is another factor as it is the highest price, however over the life of the use, the differences are small. I was able to purchase this at an excellent price (which was already raised by $800 this past month). The only reason it is 4 stars instead of 5 stars is the battery life is significantly shorter (about 7 hours compared to 10 hours), this is because high powered 47 Watt quad core processor.Read full review
