Antenna started giving me trouble and a week later wouldn't work at all. Upon factory reset you then have a brick since this tablet requires a WiFi connection to be set up. This has been the worst tablet I ever purchased. A complete waste of money. If Amazon wouldn't allow cheap components it would be a good tablet, but since you can't change out the antenna it's nothing more than a $200 piece of consumer junk.

The only downside I believe is important to note is that it doesn't come with Google Play. It instead uses Amazon's app store for all apps and downloads, which can be limiting for those looking for a full tablet experience. It is possible to download Google Play manually, but I was interested in a e-reader with some internet surfing/music capabilities, so it's fine with me.

I have a 5th generation 7" tablet. Works great, wanted to upgrade to bigger screen and this is awesome. I love watching movies and tv shows on this tablet. The screen has great clarity.

I had an older generation HD Fire and this one allows me to do so much more. There is better storage. The larger screen makes it easier to watch shows and to read books.
