I am so excited to have an alarm clock that is also a weather radio. It sounds great for it's size and you can program 4 channels for AM and FM (8 total). I will be so excited to wake up to the radio and not my phone anymore! The menu is easy to work once you understand the arrow buttons. The display can be dimmed and is very sleek looking. The "Warning," "Watch," and "Advisory" bars light up. I really like the design and size; it is perfect for what I need. It is small enough to carry around if you need to take it in the woods and not too big to be on the night-stand. The only complaint I have is that I would like to change the volume of the alert tone to wake me up but not give me a heart attack in the middle of the night; BUT, it does allow the alert to be a tone, a voice (8 sec. alert tone before voice), or display (mine is set on display). FM reception is mediocre. Weather stations reception is mediocre. AM reception is non existent. It's almost as if they did not install a AM antenna. I even connect my power boosted Crane external antenna. What a joke. My hand held portable uhf uniden picked up wx, and am stations just fine while I was right beside this radio. I advise spending your money elsewhere on a better radio. I certainly am.

I enjoy the large display, its very easy to set up, the good reception and the ability to edit alerts (mostly watches) that you normally do not need to awake you in the middle of the night. Where we live, the only alert I really need is the Tornado warning. I wish we could also edit/delete everything except that... Could someone tell me why that is not possible on this radio or for that matter any other weather radio?
