I've always loved Prismacolor colored pencils. Personally, I like drawing human characters. Often I bought regular collections of Prismacolor, but found myself running out of a very specific color scheme: oranges, yellows, browns, peaches. I was happy to find this collection specified for portrait creation; it's the perfect selection of colors to bring skin to life. I'm more than happy I bought this, and plan to get another one once my current box runs out. Pros: Perfect for coloring skin. Has a broad array of yellow, pink , peach and brown. It includes some dustier shades for realistic coloring. You can easily color anime skin, too. It includes a bright collection of yellows and pinks. The core is soft and easy to blend, just as other Prismacolor Premier. Interestingly to some, this box has a blue (indigo) shade. Cons: This box does NOT have a black colored pencil. I'd rather have a black one than a white one, but it could be personal preference. NOTE: A common flaw people find in Prismacolor is that the lead sometimes falls appart when sharpening. This has not happened to me with any of the Prismacolor Premiere or Scholar boxes I've gotten, and this was not an exception. My only encounter with said negative feature happened when I bought a single (out of the tin box) black pencil. I'd always recommend checking how singles are stored at your art shop, as handling them rughly and dropping them causes the lead to break. If sealed properly, things should work properly :) Good luck!Read full review

Prismacolor pencils are the product I use the most. They are easy to use and soft creamy when blended under and on top of other brands. I have a fortune in artist pencils so am always looking to get the best piece. This seller was very easy to deal with and was quick to sending. The sellers that are easy to deal with I save and check to see what other items they have. Thank you!

At some point almost, all color pencil artist go to Prismacolor pencils. I love these for my children portraits and pets. This tin has all the colors you need to do any skin color, shadows even hair. I use them with every portrait. My only problem with Prismacolor is that the core is not always centered like they used to be. So you do get to sharpen a lot if you use a sharp point at all times. I really hope they go back to the special pencil they use to be. A center core.
