The Garmin 520 offers almost all of the features you could ask for. The only one missing is touch screen, which makes selection of options easier and possible while on the go. But, the 520 offers all of the training options (HR, Cadence, Power) you could want. We actually upgraded to this Garmin so that we can track our boy when he is out on solo rides by using the Live Track option. With new features for connecting to Strava and live updates and smart phone messaging, the technology has improved quite a bit even over the outstanding 510 version. Very good computer overall!

I had the Edge 500 which is a great piece of equipment to have. I got this as an upgrade. Love it! many improvements over the Edge 500. Its bigger but not too big. I think it is just the right size. The screen has great resolution and easier to read in direct sunlight. No issues syncing with older cadence/speed sensors or heart monitor. I really love the phone app which syncs after your ride and automatically loads onto Garmin Connect. Before you had to physically connect the Edge with a USB cable to a PC to sync it. Great Product. Highly recommend if you are a serious cyclist.

Anyone who is a serious cyclist should consider this bike computer. While it takes a while to master, the 520 definitely is worth the effort. Things I like: - Ability to arrange data screens to my liking. - Seamlessly recognizes different sensors on different bikes, or different heart rate monitors - Ability to add new sensors, such as power meter, electronic shifting, and rear radar, when, or if, I get these upgrades. - Downloading Open Streets maps for my home area, and any area I travel to with my bike. There is so much potential ability that this computer has that I haven't begun to use (i.e. Strava). It is a bit complicated to learn but it is worth the effort.

I've been using a very old Edge for many years. It still works great, but it was time to upgrade. I totally endorse Garmin as I have four different devices. I was looking at a few of the Garmin bike GPS's and due to availability, size, features and cost I selected this one. I didn't want one that was too big, and I didn't want a touch screen. I read the reviews of other owners of this and they all had good things to say about it. It works great, it does what I want it to...I just need to find my way around it. Though I have never owned any other GPS units, I fully endorse Garmin.

So far I have no complaints about this item. I was looking for a simple to use computer and this baby is definitely all I needed. Easy to install and operate. No need to look at instruction books to find one of the many features available. Just set to ride before you start and that is it. If you are thinking about it, it is worth the price.
